Always a good atmosphere, good service. Not had the food for a while but always enjoyed previously.

Not been to the Holden Arms for a while went with the family for some dinner as local to us and also under new management. The food and atmosphere was lovely, the bar staff was also very polite and happy to help. I recommend the ultimate burger great value.

First time in this place and what lovely welcome we got. Food was great and beer was well presented and good quality and the new owners who are a young couple are doing a great job. So get your self to a great place and make it aplace time meet up and enjoy life. Great for meeting work colleagues.

The food is okay, the burgers are not the best I’ve had tbh and the presentation could be better especially for the price… their is a weird smell coming from the oil in the chips that I’ve told the staff about and they seem clueless. I was just hoping for something a tad tastier especially having to wait more than we would have liked to wait for, sadly I won’t be visiting again… it all backfired because I thought it would be easier to eat out and quicker but it would have actually been better to have cooked at home… service is terrible to say it wasn’t busy. The beer isn’t good way too cloudy and doesn’t taste nice.

My food was great but ....Garlic mushroom starter, so small thankfully loads of toast with it. Cheese pie and chips was to die for. Toast dinners were warm, the stuffing was lovely.Sundae was 2 small scoops of ice cream, apparently thats what a sundae is just served in a glass ( ÂŁ4.75 for 2 tiny scoops of ice cream). Service terribly slow, mains plates still on table an hour later whilst waiting for desserts. Fair enough we were a party of about 20+, pre ordered our meals.we only got to choose from a set 2 or 3 course menu you cannot accommodate a large party then don't accept the booking.

Will not be returning it’s nothing special, people will try it once because it looks appealing on Facebook and the posts make the food look good but it looks like majority of the comments and feedback are from friends and family. The place is cold and uncomfortable to eat in and for what you get it’s cheaper at a takeaway nothing home made about it.

Excellent food, well presented, very enjoyable, new landlord and landlady, trying their best and deserve to succeed.Must say I was defeated by the Holden Arms Bad Boy sharing platter, I will be back for a re-match.

Disappointing.Having driven past this place a few times, we thought we’d try it after reading reviews. Unfortunately the food was pretty awful.Sunday lunch menu - Beef was chewy. Mash lumpy.Fish and chips - about a handful of overcooked/dry warm chips with a battered fish that I can only describe as anaemic.Cheese and onion pie - was just cheese and onion with the same feedback on the chips above.Service was poor - starter arrived with half of the garlic bread being dropped on the table. Asked for Gravy and it came burnt (both smell and taste)Asked for ketchup and it never arrived. The place wasn’t busy for a Sunday afternoon, although no reason at all for such poor service and poor food.
