Old Cobblers Inn in Rossendale

11 close on a Friday? Shut up tight at 9.45 pm yeah that's close to 11pm....Adding that it seems like a legitimate reason it was closed, would have been nice to see a closed due to illness or something sign. Have changed score to reflect update.

Visited this week. I had a large carvery, which was anything but large. Three very slim, small slices of turkey. To cut them so thin is a genuine talent. Roast potatoes tasted as if they had been stood for a very long time. My wife's meal was very bland.Very poor and a real disappointment.

Although we arrived quite late, the staff were very friendly and greeted us very warmly. There was still a very good choice on the carvery, the beef was cooked to perfection and the spicy roast potatoes were to die for. Will definitely visit again.

All staff are lovely. From the greeting to the last goodbye each staff member on shift yesterday made me feel welcome, the food was lovely and I was checked on to make sure my food was okay and if I had any complaints. Which I didn’t. This is a lovely pub will definitely be going again

Came here today after visiting the ELR What a nice pub! One of the best I've visited for a while. Big and clean inside with a nice outdoor drinking area. Also a little kids play area which was free that's always winner! We ordered off the app food and drink came quick and we eat everything so can't complain. only gripe was like all green King pubs food is reasonably priced but the price off drinks is ridiculous! £4.50 for a strongbow fruits come on green king sort it out!

We had a family meal at the old cobblers in this evening and it was absolutely lovely the beef was lovely and tender and even for the children it was perfect the loved the carvery. And the team leader Debbie was so friendly all the staff were so attentive and more than accommodating. It's a lovely warming place for families to go and have dinner especially like

I visit the Old Cobblers Inn every few months for a meal with my family. The decor is a little dated, but the addition of 2 small indoor play areas for children is massively useful having a young family. The food served is always decent and very well priced. Staff are lovely, polite and friendly. I will continue coming here and would recommend for families

Pleasant, friendly, clean, good food, quick service, good staff/team members, polite, v.f.m, good quality food and priceGood selection & variety of food to choose from on the menu for less than £10 pp. I would recommend s visit

2 new visits to mention how we Have really enjoyed our visits once after spending a day at the zoo. Then we just didn't feel like cooking.The staff are always so welcoming and also make you feel safe. The food was great too. New photos added.On arrival we were asked for track and trace details.Shown to out table by friendly staff member. The tables are distanced well away from other customers, we felt very comfortable and relaxed. They have the greene king app for booking and ordering food & drink.The food was lovely i had my favourite this time (think its called) sweet potato and chicken pea curry. This is actually more filling than it looks. You can add a naan to the meal. I sometimes order a side of chips but this time I wanted a dessert. I had the vegan option of the cherry bakewell with vegan ice cream it was lovely.I have since been again and this time had a new dish called the cornish pastie pie. It was very good and does taste very good. The gravy comes in a little gravy boat so you put your own on. I loved the crunchy pastry but it was a bit thick round the crimped crust, I still liked it though.They do have some really good favourites on the menu and the staff are always very friendly and helpful.
