The Cotton House in Rossendale

Our first visit to The Cotton House and certainly not our last. Lovely atmosphere, great food, and attentive staff - what more do you want.

Really good food - the chicken burger was great as was the steak and fries. Would definitely visit again. The service was great too 👍

Nice rustic surroundings but food disappointing. House breakfast very dry, lacking some veg - needs some mushrooms, tomato or beans. Poached eggs were cold. Smoothies nice but expensive for the size.

Great place. “Discovered” on our first night staying here and just kept coming back. Food is excellent, really good value for money and very tasty. Wine very, very good.Only area for improvement from us would be more veggie options on the menu, but totally get that the local market may not desire it.

We booked a meal for 7 people Saturday night, we have been before and ate upstairs which was alright, but this time we asked for a table downstairs so we could compare as the tables upstairs for 6 or more are quite large and not very intimate( if you know what I mean) any how just one more thing about furniture etc, everything seems a little bit tired and wobbly also not the warmest place on earth to have some nosh. Which brings me on to the food 5 star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 in my opinion and everybody agreed, not too expensive either,.not very often you find chicken Kiev on the menu these days, but we found it and it's delicious, perfect food in what my wife calls shabby chic surroundings, yeah whatever.

Brilliant food. First time we have eaten in at the cotton house and it certainly won't be the last. The chicken gyros were amazing. Great staff too and their efforts toward the covid guidelines are great felt very safe

The venue, location, service and food gorgeous!! We could take our dog where they allow in the deck room overlooking the river! Family friendly, beautifully finishedWe booked the whole venue for my husband's 50th and they were amazing! Upstairs area with own bar, private entrance and toilets. The food for 60 people sublime! The guests have not stopped talking about it. Mark, Adam and Harvey went above and beyond. Such a beautiful place. Linen and flowers on the tables, nothing too much trouble, if a drink not available upstairs they went downstairs to get. Mark tour establishment rocks and definitely back for next do! Our go to for family Sunday lunch after walks, date nights and big get togethers. You nailed it!!

Superb. What a wonderful place, especially for a wedding party! First visit. Lovely outside seating area overlooking the stream with ducks and ducklings. Inside is quirky and individual, right down to the loos!!!! Good food, lots of beers to choose from, good coffee and super staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole time. Thank you.

I went for the first time last night with my wife, we had been meaning to go for a while and were not disappointed. The manager chatted to use for a while and made us feel very welcome so thank you (sorry I didn’t catch your name). My wife had a couple of cocktails which she enjoyed very much and I sampled a German lager I had never heard of but it was spot on. The place is very well presented and perfect for those who want somewhere a bit extra for a drink, next time we will try the food as the menu looked great.Nice to see a great building being put back into a good use.EDIT:We have just been back and tried the food.As you can see I review the odd place here and there but this was up there in my top 5 meals ever bought. It was tremendous from start to finish, I eat until I could eat no more. Staff were brilliant once again and service was excellent.Thank you all so much.
