Proper pub atmosphere. Really good prices for food and drinks and lots of TVs for sports events and a nice outside area. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Could maybe do with an adults only bit as it was quite loud but maybe that's just me being picky! Would definitely come again

Kate (the chef) made us the steak fondue challenge, which we’ve been wanting for a while. Food and service was top notch as always. Thanks guys

First time I went today with the family. Absolutely amazing food with lots on offer and plenty of deals everyday. staff was very polite and customer service was spot on, even went out of their way to bring a little birthday cake surprise for the daughter when the kitchen had just closed . Will definitely be returning very soon .. well done guys keep up the amazing work

Only issue with the Sovereign is the veriaty of food. It's either pizza, burger chips, fish & chips however if you fancy a light lunch like chicken salad, quiche salad just don't cater.Other then this pub atmosphere improved greatly

Called in for 1st time today . Not disappointed really good value I had rump steak medium rare presentation really good & cooked perfect. I work for NHS SO used my blue light. Absolutely recommend this brilliant

Food selection was excellent and really good value. They have special offers depending on the day. We had a BOGOF burger on a Thursday which h mentioned you get one full burger meal free.

We visited here on the 16th of April and had a lovely meal.The food was great and the staff were lovely. We are not from the area and didn't realise it would be so busy, but then realised Man City were playing, and it took a while to be served and we forgot to give our car reg to the staff and we have now received a fine 😳.I've tried to ring you and cannot get through. Is there anything you can do about the fine if we can prove we ate in your pub ???

I have to say on this one occasion that I am not very impressed. I appreciate there was a match on but I was on a break working from home and therefore was very pressed for time. Normally the service is brilliant but on this occasion after ordering from the app it took over half an hour for my food to arrive I had to get up to the bar twice to ask. Every Minute was making me late getting back to my work. When the food did eventually arrive the order was wrong and I had to yet again go back to the bar, where the girl behind the bar very curtly remind me that she was serving and didn’t really seem that interested. This then left me with about 5-minutes to eat my food after having sat around for over 30 minutes. Why on earth when they have football on can they not employ a couple of extra members of staff ? So that those of us that don't want to wear a 60 pound t-shirt with a Club logo on it and watch a bunch of men in shorts kick a ball around a field, in between rolling around on the grass like a toddler in Aldi for the best part of an hour, can actually dine without waiting an eon to receive their food……. Sort it out Greene King !

Really enjoyed having some lunch here today. It was a last minute drop in as a couple of years ago I really didn’t rate the food but we were passing and decided to give it a go. Parking was free, we were greeted at the door by a lovely man as we came in and were able to sit anywhere we liked. We ordered some food and it really wasn’t bad at all, infact the burger was lovely… so was the spicy tortilla wraps. Didn’t rate the nachos but that was more personal choice I think the actual chips used were too flavoured for me. Definitely visit again though. Was cheap too.
