Harry Ramsden's in Salford

Food was OK. Overpriced for what it is but it always has been so I expected no less. Main complaint is with the male member of staff on today. Definitely in need of customer service training. He was awkward about my order as the system doesn't input it the exact way I ordered, but turns out that wasn't an issue and he could have just input it without making me feel uncomfortable. Then when my order was ready he called out "sweetheart". I sat nearby whilst finishing my lunch and heard him call every man "sir" and other women "sweetheart". We're in 2022 and this isn't how you speak to customers, it's sexist and quite frankly insulting. I won't be returning.

One of my favourite places to eat. Staff are lovely. Very patient and polite. Food is made to order. Piping hot and very tasty. For me it's either the Fish bites or the best chicken burger ever and chips. Ironic it's across the way from Burger King with their excuse for food.

I wanted fish and chips. I've selected this place which was a mistake apparently... I've been ripped off as I've payed £13.8 and they've sent me only a large piece of cod. No chips, just some malt vinegar sauces. Never -ever- again.. This was rather a robbery. Nice..

I really need to say the man who serves with white hair has a fantastic customer service, he is very friendly and makes everyone feel comfortable, it’s a shame he has to deal with awkward customers especially as he is on his own mostlyI have just read a review about someone complaining that someone called her sweetheart, well I think she should be grateful there is still some genuine gentleman about instead of arroganceWell done to the man on the counter

Not one to write reviews however, I ordered the small cod and chips, around 8 hours later I was violently sick for a few hours. Potentially food poisoning?

So yummy and great bite to eat! Service was friendly and superb! Very much would return to try some more!

Absolutely best fish & chips you could ask for. The fish was amazing, more fish than batter, no grease, the chips too were fantastic not greasy at all. Great choice even for the kids and everyone was happy. The gentleman who served us ( wore glasses ) was brilliant, his customer service was second to none and went above and beyond. He truly put pizza express and Bella Italia to shame and they should take a page from his book as he knew how to treat customers and was a great pleasure to be served by him. The food was fresh and could not fault it one bit, but the guy serving us certainly made it. He is an amazing asset to Harry Ramsdens and I would highly recommend going here than the other places mentioned any day of week. We shall certainly be back. Nice place, fish and chips a bit expensive, but I enjoyed it..

A fairly decent portion of fish and chips but damn expensive for what it is. The chips were nice and crispy but a little overdone. I imagine they are dipped again when order placed. Dear fish frying technicians - I love double cooked chips but perhaps you need to adjust the cooking temperature as we’re not cooking crisps here. The fish in the Legendary (XXL) was just the right size to fill the large black hole like void I had in my abdomen and comes highly recommended. To summarise £10 for fish and chips is dear no matter where you’re from but reasonable quality / price ratio
