Jaypur Balti in Salford

Well , where do I start?, we had booked for 24 people for my aunts birthday ( booked months in advance and reconfirmed a few days before), when we got there, half of us couldn’t be seated as they had another party in that took up our second long table . ( it is a small restaurant that seats around 34 people ) our booking was at 7pm , finally got our second table and given our menus around 8.30pm and got our starters 45 mins after that. Drinks were extortionate ( over £7 for a single dissarano and Diet Coke) , we were all served at different times and as most of us finished around 10.30pm, some still hadn’t gotten their meals. The room was cold. The two girls serving were run off their feet but very polite and did the best they could. The food was ok but nothing to rave about . Anyway by the end of the night when the owner was informed that there were still meals that had not been served,(fault of the kitchen) he proceeded to shout at his waitresses, was rude and called them lazy and had one of them in tears. If the owner had not double booked us , if the food came out mainly together ( I know that can be difficult with 24 people, but at intervals of between 30 and 90 mins between people getting their order and some not all….), if the drinks were not overpriced and if the owner had not been so disgusting with how he treated his staff, then this would have been a pleasant evening, but my aunts birthday was ruined ( she had travelled from Wales and was the first time in over two years that we had all been able to get together as family) and we all left with a bad taste in our mouths, and not from the food.I cannot stress more that this was down to the owner and not his waitresses . The two stars given are for the waitresses and for adequate food.

Waitresses very good unfortunately only the owner chef doing all the cooking waited nearly 45mins for starter then another 45mins for main 3 lots of people walked out don't blame them we nearly did the same shame a the food was good 🙄

What can I say. It feels like home to me this place, not just with the authentic vibe you get from the appearance but it’s cheap & it’s welcomed as I’m a tight so and so. Really good vibes and can’t wait to come back to my 2nd home. Thanks Jaypur ❤️

Been here quite a few times with my mate over the last few years.Excellent cuisine and menu.Service is excellent as well.Look forward to returning for a meal here in the near future.

Beautiful meals full of taste meats and quality ingredients can't fault the food and service

I arrive at this excellent restaurant many times because I enjoy the special air that is unique to this place. The staff is extremely welcoming and well trained. The service is extraordinarily quick. Not to mention, the food they cook is exceptionaly good. I visited more than once and I was always happy. The price is honest. I highly recommend this restaurant to to all.

Had another take-out tonight and as always it was amazing. The best Indian meal I have ever tasted. Everything is freshly cooked and I have not one complaint. Not expensive and staff are all friendly. 5 stars Jaypur will definitely order again.

Really tasty food for a great price. Fantastic customer service making you feel welcome and ensuring you're looked after. Never been to a curry house before and went with friends and I will definitely be going back! Waiting time was good, food arrived hot and was on a hot-plate so would stay warm no matter how quick or slow you are.
