Stayed at the hotel and arrived late so decided to eat here. The food was terrible, there was hardly any choice on the menu so we picked the best out of the bunch and got bruschetta for starters and steak and my husband got minestrone soup and steak. The bruschetta was basically whole cold cherry tomatoes on a big piece of bread with that horrible brown sauce soaked on the bread and the soup was big massive chunks of veg in brown water. The steak was chewy with loads of gristle in it which we spat out. There was no veg or salad only a bunch of tomatoes. My husband got a chocolate brownie and it was microwaved within an inch of its life and burnt his mouth. Bill came to £120 and we were gutted we wasted so much money on something I could of served better myself. I can't believe a well known chef would let it be known it's his restaurant. Utter rubbish!

Popped in for dinner on solo work trip. Delicious Malbec, very decent burger with fries, great warm brownie, and fantastic service. Would definitely go again.

MPW is a hero of mine, White Heat is my bible.Got given £50 of vouchers for one of his restaurants and I used them here for convenience due to distance.First time in a MPW place in the UK and I held it to the same standard as I have learned from him as to what to look for when it comes to dining. After making the booking online I realised I had made a mistake, I emailed to make the change the day after and got a reply within 15 minutes just after 10am on a Tuesday morning. There was absolutely no rush on the reply but was a good sign. I previously saw a negative review about communication on here so wanted to call out that this was over and above what I would expect. On the day, we arrived very early as the traffic jam we were told was happening just outside Manchester wasn't happening. Staff were happy to seat us the moment we walked in.Staff were amazing throughout, made us feel at home. I simply cannot fault them.Food was great and the price was extremely fair for quality and portion size. If you doubt this, order a portion of olives and just look at the size and quality of them. I have honestly never seen olives so big, they definitely never came out a jar from Tesco and that was the cheapest thing we ordered and even that surprised me as to how good they were. They never had a starter I wanted and I wasn't keen on the other starter menu items however I was offered a smaller portion of one of the mains to accommodate which was great and it felt like an extra touch on the Chef's and the staff's part to add to my experience.Given my luck, it is rare for me to go anywhere without some kind of issue but with this place I genuinely cannot mark it down for anything. It felt like popping round to a friends for a meal, but with much better cooking, which is all I am looking for in a place to eat.It is hard to sum this up, it is a restaurant in a Holiday Inn in Manchester. You say that and it sounds less than what it is. If I said it was the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse & Grill in the Fairmont Hotel in Abu Dhabi then it sounds all fancy doesn't it? Having eaten in both, I got exactly what I wanted out of them so definitely recommend you visit here and enjoy.

From the first moment you step in that place the stuff gives you an enjoyable feeling. Very hospitable crew, it is a nice place to to go out with friends or with your date. Great cooking, specialist chef de cuisine, good pay and attentive service. Highly recommended.

For anyone looking for somewhere to eat that's a bit quieter than The Dockyard you'll like this and be pleasantly surprised at how it's not much more expensive. Every time I'm here the food looks and tastes great, the staff are friendly and I always feel welcome as its relaxed atmosphere is streets away from the boistrousness of nearby venues. Watch out for match day offers, happy hour and other decent offers.

We went when it first opened and the meal was outstanding. Crispy skin salmon with gnocchi and a basil oil. It really was a brilliant meal. You could even see the kitchen from the dining room. We went again last weekend. Wow! The food was horrendous! It has basically been turned in to a chain/franchise. There is no cooking involved. It is all pre-weighed, pre-packaged and the chefs are basically just warming things up. Nothing had any flavour or even seasoning. It is completely overpriced and I dare Marco Pierre White himself to eat there, as I believe if he did he would say some very uncomplimentray words and probably throw his teaspoon across the kitchen. If Marco ever gets to read this, this is what I would say to him "I can cook 100 times better than the standardised rubbish you are serving here" which is a shame as it used to be amazing! Gutted and I hope Marco sports this out! Good luck if eating there.

Maybe I ordered the wrong food , the burger was really dry and I definitely prefer five guys burgers! But the cheese cake was amazing ! Definitely up for afternoon tea but not food ! And waiter was so funny and friendly !

For a restaurant attached to a holiday inn I must admit I didn't very high hopes for quality and service. However not only was I proven wrong, my views going in where completely blown out of the water. Not only was the food delicious but the service was top notch. The staff in the restaurant single handedly turned what was a poorly timed business trip into an very memorable birthday for me. I simply cannot recommend this place enough
