Pranzo Veloce in Salford

Great food but unfortunately overshadowed by a bad experience overall. Was asked if we wanted olives for the table (3 of us) when ordering our mains - we said yes, expecting a bowl of olives but we were brought two. We ate about half the olives from each bowl, as 2 bowls was obviously too much between 3 and we didn’t ask for them in the first place! However when the bill came there were 2x portions of olives on the bill. When we brought this up with the manager and explained that we didn’t ask for any olives so only expected one to be brought to the table, he was extremely argumentative and rude. As said, the food was great but I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Good food quality and variety. A bit more expensive than I think it deserves, especially for the (small) quantity of pasta.The pizza is very good, with a perfectly crunchy dough and nice ingredients.Service was a bit of a let down, very slow bringing the bill and felt pressured to get a starter although we weren't hungry for that.

We had a Sunday lunch at the Bull and Bear in town, £180. Waste of money! In the evening we got a takeaway from Vero(been there before), £10 and 50 p for delivery-no comparison between the two. Delicious Pizza, very thin, not caked in mountains of cheese and other unnecessary toppings, this is what a pizza is supposed to be like, similar to what you’d get in Rome. Highly recommended from a culinary connoisseur. Next time I’m in Manchester, it’ll be Vero for me. Well done for not pampering to the people who just want quantity before quality!

a really tasty Italian place, I thoroughly enjoyed the pizzas and will definitely come here again to try your pastas. there was a little mix up with our drinks but it was quickly solved by the friendly and amazing staff. I really enjoyed how caring they are, they really go above and beyond to make sure you have the best service. will definitely dine here again

What a treat! So nice to visit an independent in a big city. Fab food ... not a huge selection of healthy alternatives but hey that's not what eating our is all about is it and the capacious which chose and additional tomato and onion salad was delish

Always our favourite place to eat. Warm and friendly atmosphere, Beppe and his staff can't do enough for you. The food never disappoints it is AMAZING

Wonderful! Truly fantastic food, and super attentive friendly staff. The food we ate today was amongst the best food I’ve eaten in a long time.The Ox Tail Ragu was delicious - melt in mouth.I’ve already recommended the restaurant to friends and we can’t wait to return ...Is tomorrow too soon?

A few years back I came to Vero Moderno based on the recommendation of a friend. Paying that forward, I can’t repeat often enough what a fantastic restaurant it is. It’s local, it’s authentic, it’s atmospheric and charming, it has character(s…heehee), charm and its hospitable. Not to mention the food is amongst the best in Manchester, don’t come to the Northern Powerhouse without taking this experience away with you! Just ask for owner Beppe, then let the good times roll!

The food was delicious.. I love hamon very much, and I was really delighted to find that restaurant.I've ordered:- ravioli with rabbit ( was very tasty, one of them had a tiny bone of rabbit inside)- Prosciutto ham with mozzarella and very very tasty, fresh.. warm bread )) wich You can eat with olive oil and balsamic vinegar))- cannolini ( 3 small tubeless of puff pastry, 2 of them with cream brulé and 3d with chocolate filling) I liked with cream brulé better, they are less sweet.. that's why shared chocolate one with my friend.. lol)+ 2 cappuccinos - they were decent tooThe cost was about 40£
