4 of us had dinner, my burger was only warm, chicken tikka was ok, 2 fish and chips, 1 had the smallest piece of fish I have ever seen, they forgot mushy peas and the had no tomato sauce, sorry but todays experience was amazing poor, going to morrisons across the road next time

Really nice. Spacious. Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Fire to warm up and dry coats by on a rainy day! Loved it.

·

Beautiful space, great ambience and cheap prices! This wetherspoons is very lively and provides various seating options (indoor, outdoor). It can be nice and cozy or be fun and social, whatever suits you!

Had a lovely meal in a family friendly atmosphere. Really enjoyed! Pretty good value too!

·

A great wetherspoons, the food is always good quality for the price. Staff are excellent, and the ale selections are getting better every time I visit.

·

Good food, reasonable prices. But, the floor is very gross and smelly. It stinks in odd corners.Service is good and fast. Staff is polite

Decent big pub with nice helpful staff. Have been a number of times and always had a great time with no bother.

·

Nicely decorated historic place, food is good and cheap. The only thing is that one of the staff in charge of the glasses and botles throwing it from a far distance into the bin, making such a noise.

I'm normally a big fan of wetherspoons and have never had a bad experience, however, today that all changed.I ordered scrambled eggs on toast and upon receiving them I was disappointed to receive luke warm scrambled eggs that were hards and crunchy to touch, with slight discoloration. They certainly weren't fresh. When I spoke to one of the ladies, I'm unsure of her name but she had pink hair, about this issue, she was very rude and abrupt, making out as if I was a liar when I mentioned the food not being fresh. I asked to see the chef and for her to leave the food behind so I could show it to the chef, but she rudely ignored this request and took the food away, as if to quickly get it out of sight of other customers. She did however get the chef, who while friendlier, denied the food being of poor standards.Upon going to get my refund from the bar, I was only given £1.30 of my £3.19 for the meal (Which was extremely expensive for what was received, see pictures). When I questioned this, the lady said 'it's how refunds work'(????). After pressing the issue of how refunds are supposed to work (You get the whole amount...) she admitted that she made a mistake and gave me the full refund.I love Wetherspoons but this was an absolutely appalling experience that makes me unsure that I will ever return to this specific one ever again. A change of management is surely due.

Great pub, I have been coming here for years now and I think its a great place, which is probably why I have been a loyal customer for this long.Having said that though, I had not a very good experience today with a lad behind the bar today. I ordered for a lamb shank, one of my favourites I must say. Normally it comes with vegetables and stuff, but today I was given the shank with just marsh and gravy. I wasn't very happy ofcourse because i love my veggies...even worse the guy behind the bar was not very helpful either, he tried his outdated trick of getting me to believe the vegetables where blended into the gravy...nice try laddd, anyways I asked for a refund in the end. I was not very happy as i could have been if i had it though. You need to make amends to get the stars back, afterall I am a loyal customer 😁.
