The Red Lion in Salford

Despite the refurbishment, the service and the quality lack.We booked a table online and got a confirmation, but nothing was ready when we got there.There were no straw; we had to share 3 napkins amongst six people.I ordered a Halloumi wrap but was surprised to get a chicken wrap. This would have been an issue if I were vegetarian.The margarita pizza was the best bit.

Food is delicious, well priced and perfectly set up for a dinner where you can have a conversation. A side note I would definitely recommend the fresh pizza. It was crispy, light and full of flavour. Was also nice to see the chef checking if all is well along with the front of house staff.

Stopped by for a carvery this afternoon. Staff were attentive and polite. Food was hot and fresh and the carvery meat was lovely, special thanks to the young man that took care of it today. He was kind and didn’t make us feel rushed. Will definitely be back in the future!!

Had a chicken burger and a beef burger. Both completely dry and overcooked and barely warm. Chips looked like scraps on one of the meals and nothing was very hot. Had to wait to be given cutlery and sauces so food going even colder. Will not be visiting again

Heard about this place, thought I'd try it, wow, it did surprise me! The last type of eatery life this I went to, within the same brand and menu, failed to deliver, but this place put my faith in the brand , back on top! Well done guys!

Nice place loved the nut roast for a vegan carvery option, presuming the gravy is alright. It's great for drinks and a pub feed in large groups too

Just been with a party of 10 for Christmas Lunch. Couldn't fault it in any way. Food was great, the lady who served us was friendly, and attentive and not a single slip with everyone's pre-booked menu choices. Everyone loved it, we will be back soon and will be booking for next year. We'll done to all the staff and thank you.

Stopped by on a random trip, whilst waiting for my train connection. What a place! All I wanted was a pint but convinced myself to have a carvery which was fantastic. Special mention to the bartender Chris who went above and beyond in his duties to make a random trip a memorable one - top bloke. I will be back!

I stopped by here for lunch yesterday and was astounded by how quickly I was in and out! The service was rapid in all aspects! Within 5 minutes I was served, sat down and eating! Fantastic! The guy who sat me down was super friendly, Becky at the bar was a pleasure and the man carving my meat was so helpful.It was a shame it was such a whirlwind experience I would have loved to have stayed and took my time in the pleasant atmosphere and look forward to my next visitThank you all!

This carvery was fantastic. It was our first time there. The service and the staff was great.We opted for the carvery menu.The food was plentiful, hot and tasty. My grandson ate all his beef which is a first .There was a good choice of desserts.I would recommend you visit as I'm sure you will enjoy it.Thank you so much. X
