It was a very relaxing and beautiful experience! I took my mum for a birthday breakfast. The food was great, you get a continental breakfast buffet and can order few dishes on the side. The food quality was great and the price was really convenient. The service was amazing the manger that day Magdy, he helped us getting a beautiful dessert as surprise for my mum.It was my first time but definitely not the last!!I would highly recommend it.

We were greeted with a smile at taken to our. The waiting staff were friendly and polite, as were all the staff. The food was amazing 👏 We even had a drink by the piano to finish. Wonderful food and reasonable.

Had afternoon tea here with my husband and parents. Swapped the sandwiches for us so we could eat everything. Great service and the food was lovely. Will return

went for a sunday lunch with family, had a 2 course meal with glass of wine. The menu didnt have much variety but the food was pretty nice. I got the roast belly pork and the pork wasn't too fatty or too lean. The pork skin was roasted really nicely and it was crunchy and not hard at all. Only complaint I would have was the tenderstem broccoli being a bit hard but besides that, everything else was lovely. For dessert, I had the date cake and it was a lot nicer than I expected. The cake was warm, combined with the vanilla ice cream, wasn't too stodgy or too sweet.Atmosphere wise, the restaurant looked quite new and everything was in good condition. Pretty nice place for a date or special occasion.

We had a large party that was very well cared for. The food was of a high standard, as expected and the service matched this level. Particularly the wine waiter Sherman excelled in keeping us happy with good grace and humourMy crab starter with citreous sparkled on my palate. To follow my rib-eye was well cooked to order ( medium) with a very nice sauce on the side. Chips good too. Others were all equally satisfied with their fish options.

First the good points: lovely and clean interior, convenient location and friendly staff. It had all the ingredients for a 5-star experience, but we docked one star for their failure to adhere to our requests (sauce on the side) and inability to explain the dishes (one server even described salsify as "deep fried beetroot"). The starters and mains were fine, but the desserts were messily put together. Definitely some room for improvement

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The River Restaurant. We had our 1st Wedding Anniversary meal and it happened to be a Sunday which meant there was a Sunday menu. The food was incredible and the service was quick and efficient.

One of the more pleasant experiences - the service, food, standard was a treat - our waiter was a gentleman named Denilson and I feel he really looked after each and every one of us in a way that felt authentic as opposed to forced - the afternoon overall was an amazing one and I couldn’t recommend it more - if you are going for the food - in terms of the afternoon tea I would say it was pleasant but not like a place for foodies but if you want to go for an amazing experience with loved ones and share in a lovely day out - would highly recommend it.

What a lovely experience, afternoon tea at the Lowry. Prosecco, English breakfast tea along with a selection of delicate sandwiches and a stunning array of cakes, pastry and macaroons. Go on treat yourself

Had the 3 course menu with a glass of champagne, first thought was the portions were a bit small but we were both very full after and enjoyed the meal! Went into the bar after for drinks which were also very nice. Also had breakfast in there which had a good selection to choose from.Staff were all very friendly!
