Not been in for a few years. Pub still OK but dining area used to be full. When we went in for a Sunday lunch l thought they weren't serving food because it was empty. When we got our food l knew why .Food was awful .Won't be going back again

We were looking for a local pub, that served good pub grub. We ordered the food around 7:20pm and waited until 7:55pm. To be fair, the place was busy! Two main meals for £12:49, such good value and plenty of choice. We oped for the steak and ale pie, mash and brocoli, as well as all day brunch. Pie was tasty and such a huge portion. My partner enjoyed his brunch, especially what he described as good quality sausages. We were that full, we didn't get chance to sample the desserts. We would definitely dine there again. Value for money.

I have never been in a more welcoming pub before. I cannot recommend this pub more. The manager and bar staff are kind, gentle and welcoming. The service is outstanding and when combined with the great quality of service and wide choice of affordable drink and food, the experience is better than any other pub in swinton. I highly recommend, absolutely outstanding.

I arrived at approx 12.45 with two friends and the place was empty apart from one couple having a meal and three workmen having a drink .but soon realised why that was .we ordered a meal each .mine was fish .chips. mushy peas . The fish was just an empty shell of batter with no fish inside and well overcooked they did bring me another one but on its own .its a good job i carried on eating the chips otherwise they would have been cold by the time the other fish arrived . Photo to show .my friend ordered a toastie she said it was just ok . I got my friend a lime juice and water .( The driver ) but it just looked like a glass of water . So i will cross it off my list in the future .

Underwhelming, the halloumi fries were cold and as you can see from the size of the fork a tiny portion and certainly not worth £5.99 the Hygiene also does look great as you can see from the photos, the chef was also wondering around the kitchen with sweat pants and a hoodie, not very professional. Was drawn in by the reviews, maybe we came on a bad night but won’t be coming back.

Great panelled pub, good selection of beers. Informal atmosphere. Can't wait for summer to try out the beer garden. Oh, and the staff are lovely

First time visit with my family. Excellent food and great service! Advisable to book a table at weekends. Large car park at rear. Large pub with big screen tv's for the sky sports fans.

Went in today I wanted a coffee and to my surprise the coffee machine is still not working for all the years I've gone in this pub that machine has not worked why have it if your not going to use it not everyone wants an alcoholic drink cold soft drink this pub is an eating establishment so they should have a machine that actually works.

Visited this lovley pub on a Sunday for a roast lunch and it was very good decision! I had the lamb shank and my missus had the roast half chicken. Both came with good size veg, a yorki pudding and gravy! Finger licking good! Both of us left empty plates. Well done chef.
