Effes in Sefton

As soon as we walked in the waiter gave us dirty looks as if he didn’t want us to be there. He was disrespectful towards me and my friend, and gave us a table and chucked menus at us. Due to the waiters behaviour I was very uncomfortable sitting in the restaurant and decided to leave with my friend. Never in my 30 years have I experienced anything like this. Highly suggest not visiting this restaurant which brings a bad name to the other better quality Turkish restaurants in the area.

Entered and left right away, rudest staff I have ever met. Horrible place, definitely avoid.

My wife and I had a meal at Efes on Wednesday evening. Pleased to say that it was a repeat of previous visits.Great quality food, good portions, great service, very happy to recommend 👍🏻

Fabulous food and they were able to cater for my wife who is coeliac. Although she was jealous they couldn't make a pillow bread gluten free. When I visit Formby again I'll definitely be in for a kebab.

The food arrived fast but we were just a couple of tables. The best thing was the Turkish balloon bread. The rest, was eatable but that’s it.

Yet another awesome experience. Went back to Efes Turkish BBQ to celebrate our wedding anniversary because we had been dreaming of the meat sharing platter since we last visited. Just as with our first experience, the freshly made bread and dips were incredible, the main course was divine, the baklava for dessert was heavenly and the Turkish coffee was out of this World. The customer service at this restaurant is second to none and we absolutely love coming here. You can tell the whole team is passionate about the food they produce.

Visited in May forgot to post earlier.Fab restaurant, the Meze sharing platter with wine was amazing and the best Lamb chops I have tasted. Great service from Ekrem hope to visit again soon

Turkish restaurant with only one waitress to do everything serve the food,the drinks take the payments.. unbelievable!! Very disappointed. The kebap was tasty but the chicken wasn't cooked.. the kiofte as starter was cold and taste like sausage! The filo pastry with the feta cheese was tasteless ! Very old restaurant but definitely not decorated as a Turkish ..

This restaurant is amazing. Ordered chicken wings for start, then a lamb dish for main.I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful throughout. The decor was fantastic as you can see by the pictures. I will be going again and would recommend to all.The sticky toffee pudding was to die for. Definitely a hidden Gem.
