Hampsons in Sefton

Been many times, always fab food and atmosphere, had Gammon Sunday Roast, great value. Recommended.

They say first impressions count. Never been here before but we were out for a meal last night and we Googled what time Hampsons closed, and it was 11pm on a Tuesday. So we walked over hoping to enjoy a nice little nightcap when we were told at 10.10pm that they just had last orders. Just disappointing that we only went because it said it was open until 11pm but obviously they decided to shut early that night. There were still quite a few customers in there too so it’s not like they’d packed up because the place was empty

What a lovely experience from start to finish. staff were super friendly and very attentive. The Sunday roast was out of this world, the chef really knows what hes doing. can't recommend this place highly enough!The décor is lovely and cosy and there is a disabled access toilet downstairs as well if needed for anyone.can't wait to have another reason to go here again.Oh just a heads up tho, they can't take card tips. The closest cash machine is the tescos down the road but it wasn't working when we went.

Nice food and cosy surroundings. Bottomless tea or coffee with all large breakfasts and caters for vegetarian and vegan customers too.

Food was very pretty but very great and not very warm. The brunch menu was limited when vital ingredients were missing and considering they qre inly 5 mins from sainsbury, I am nit sure why they could have just gone and got additional ingredients. Is a nice bar otherwise

Great place for drinks with beers that aren't the normal commercial ones of larger brewery owned places. Friendly staff, great atmosphere with sensible people just out for a chat and a drink with friends

Great value for money at £20 for three courses. Downside was all the food was piled up on top of the other and the meat was a tad flavourless. Service was good though and decor was interesting

Absolutely perfect. First time here we will be back. Had the chicken roast the beef roast and the veggie one. Cake for desert all spot on. Feel bad as we completely forgot the tip. Double tip next Time guys

One of the tastiest roast dinners I've ever had. Don't let the picture make it look like the portions are small, it's the angle and the fact the yorkshire pudding is so big that it hides the rest of the amazing food. Staff are really friendly and welcoming, atmosphere is cosy. Will be recommending this place to family and friends and definitely coming back to try more.
