Hilal Balti House in Sefton

Excellent small restaurant in the old Formby schoolhouse. Great cooking of traditional dishes, with friendly service. One of the best features is consistency - you can rely on today's meal being just as good as you remember it previously.

Best place if you want a time warp foods good though.

It is a great place to go to food is wonderful staff great to I have no faults with hilal always a pleasure to keep going back music not to loud always in the background not blurring like other restaurants do should take a leaf out there book on this.

Quality food everytime and staff are 1st class.

Very tasty food, friendly and helpful staff, good value for money 😋👍

Great food, lovely service and very reasonably priced

Been going the for years now never had a bad meal , staff are brilliant an food is always nice ,doesn't hurt your pockets good value , I have read some reviews saying it needs a overall on the decoration side but it's the food an service that counts in my book I am looking fwd to going again 👍👍👍

Went on Tuesday evening, had an amazing meal. From the outside the place may look a bit iffy, but glad we didn't change our minds.Inside it's cosy and relaxing.Food was great, service was excellent, friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

Came here for a birthday meal. Every dish took at least another half an hour after we finished the last and was bland and flavourless. I had a vegiterian dish with a spice rating of 4 yet due to the blandness of the dish, the heat was all that persisted. After speaking with the 7 other people I came with, only 2 enjoyed their meal (the two meat eaters) yet even they said it wasn't brilliant. The others all agreed that their dishes were all flavourless and either bland, or way too sweet. It's a shame too as the staff member we saw was lovely and helpful and the restaurant had a very nice, unique asthetic but the food was simply not up to par. I would not recommend Hilal Balti House at all.

Great food, lovely staff, cosy atmosphere. Better than anything I've found in the area so far.
