Jacksons in Sefton

I have been to their sit in area for over a decade and can not fault the quality. However my last visit here disappointed me as the size of the Fish portion was very small. Hope it was a one of as I really love this place.

Cod special was absolutely delicious with bread and butter as well as pot of tea. I'm very fussy with my food but this meal was light and not too greasy. Would come here again as service was quick and prompt and the staff is friendly too.

Lovely fish, chips n mushy peas. Batter on the fish was light and crispy - not greasy. Generous portions.

Chips very good, mushy peas dry, batter nice & crispy, unfortunately still looking for the cod fish inside the batter, don't think they realise you have to put fish inside the batter....

Second time in recent months, had takeaway cod and chips the first time and the portion was generous enough to defeat my non too lightweight appetite 😂, ate in this time and although the portion wasn't as large it definitely filled the plate, well cooked, crisp batter on the fish and chips cooked perfectly, pleasent staff, nice and clean eating area, my go to chippy when next in Southport

Decent fish, chips and peas. I'm a little turned-off by the skin still being on the fish though. The plate was cold too... A big no-no for me. Staff were pleasant. Next time in Southport we'll try somewhere else though.

Always have 'cod special' - good sized portion - comes with mushy peas, bread and butter and cup of tea - £9.10. Batter is thin and crispy and cooked to perfection as are chips. Have visited many times and would highly recommend.

Friendly staff, everything was clean and fresh looking. Reasonable prices. Unfortunately I didn't find the food particularly tasty. It was cooked fine (haddock, chips and mushy peas), served hot but just lacking in flavour.

Popped in for takeaway sausage and chips. Large portion, very good quality, reasonably priced, staff handling coronavirus well with PPE, protective screen, hand sanitizer on entry for customers and distancing guidance on the floor with clear way in around and out system in operation. 👏
