Had a Belated Birthday meal at the Lansdowne Bistro last night with my wife, daughter and sister in law. Service was very good and the food was excellent. Everything was as exactly as we ordered and reasonably priced. You are not rushed and the waiters are quick to help and serve. A Fantastic place on Anchor Street and well worth a visit. Will definitely be going back.

You have to use this restaurant! Don’t be put off that it’s not on Lord Street or that it looks like a cafe rather than the high class restaurant that it is. Excellent fresh food, great service and good atmosphere. 5 star

Lovely meal with my dad this evening. He is getting old and the team made sure he was so well looked after. Made him feel really special. Food was also superb, well priced. The picpoul was excellent.

Went in just after opening 17.45 ish. Only one couple in dining, rest of restaurant empty.Waiter said they were fully booked??Hi Jamie thanks for your response.I'm afraid despite your explanation I believe the way you spoke to us could have been much more polite and informative.Even a customer (a regular who recommended your restaurant) commented that surely you could have have fit in a table for 2.We left feeling as if we weren't welcome at all.I have been in this trade for over 30 yrs, you have to earn your stars.Sorry

This is our second visit, The food was superb, as was service, ambience, what i love most is the tables are far enough apart so as not to hear what your neighbours are talking about, also no loud music assaulting your senses whilst you are trying to have a private conversation with friends, such a refreshing change from most other places. We now rate this as our favourite place to eat, we will be back soon.

been visiting this place for years, a family favourite. now i live down south we visit everytime we come and see her. The restaurant is located just off the back of the famous lord street, a little hidden and away from the hustle and bustle of the seaside. Just the most incredibly honest and classic food anyone would want. The seafood is the freshest you can get. They regularly have specials of scallops, lobster and full seafood platters if you book in advance. Oh my gosh, the plate of food was incredible. huge oysters, Southport potted shrimps, crevettes, smoked salmon, prawns, roll mop herring, mussels all served in an amazing tired show piece. the family enjoyed the night so much and we will be visiting every time. thank you once again from all the family.

Located by Sainsbury car park, this restaurant is nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside however is cosy and full of character. Scottish antiques and fishing items adorn the walls. The food is English/French and is of very high quality. Both the steak and sea bass were cooked to perfection. The crab bisque was one of the best I have ever tasted and the chocolate and Raspberry pot was exquisite. The wine and beer menu was pleasing too as was the polite but attentive service. Mid priced but well worth the money. Definitely one to visit again!

What a fabulous place this is, we went for a meal last night with friends. The food is absolutely amazing, honestly you have to try it, this is our new go to place from now on. The starters were all so tasty and so fresh, the steaks cooked perfectly to order and the lemon cheesecake, well diet doesn’t come into it!!! I have to say the staff are wonderful, happy and attentive, nothing is too much trouble at all and we all felt spoiled. What a fabulous place we have in our town. Well done guys, you deserve your success. See you soon. The Brown’s
