Nags Head, Hungry Horse in Sefton

Food was good when it came, however our time was ruined at the Nags Head.When we arrived we discovered that the booking had been incorrectly written down and they weren't expecting us for another 3 hours. We finally managed to get a table and ordered some food. The food took ages to arrive, we were then told we would have to wait over an hour if we wanted puddings (which is way too long for our little ones to wait).The staff were more interested in the two events they had going at either side of the venue, which we weren't warned nor informed about.When we tried to complain the two ladies behind the bar chose to ignore us and serve customers, even with us politely waiting for 20 mins. Even then service was extemely slow, the staff seemed to not want to be there and just couldn't be botheredTurns out that with two events on and it being busy they only had one server who was cooking food and serving! Poor bloke needed a medal, very nice guy who tried his hardest. It's a shame non of the other staff shared any of his drive.The food was lovely when it came. However the running of the pub was utterly disorganised and customer service was non existent.There is a much nicer pub 2 mins down the road, if we are in the area again we will be going there.

Had an amazing time there tonight. The food was amazing. And thank you to the amazing waitress who took our order. I promised her a review and you all deserve this x

Amazing service from all staff, especially handsome young lad I think who’s name is cal, (are you single by the way), food and drinks amazing, can’t wait for next visit, would definitely reccomend👍🏻

Been to the Nags Head twice within the last two months, much improvement on the food since it has been taken over by new Management the last couple of months, lovely staff, hope the new fryer has been delivered so I can have my fish and chips 👍👍

First time visiting here today, We both enjoyed our meals here, we received a genuine warm welcome and great service from the team, Older lady made conversation with us and took time out to offer her personal recommendations, Praise to her, will definitely return soon.

Food great lady who took our order and done our drinks was really nice, food was lovely plenty of it. Nice afternoon with family. Some waitresses seemed a bit stressed though didnt effect us, but some people didnt look happy.

Lovely food in a friendly atmosphere. I would recommend the steak or the crispy chicken sandwich. Check the menu for the special deals. There is also a nice selection of desserts.The staff are friendly and helpful. Service is really good 👍They also have special events for families with entertainment.Outside seats available and a special outdoor Gin Garden when the weather is good.Car parking is more than ample.I returned to this lovely pub a week later and was met with a lovely welcoming lady who sat my friend and I down. She served us with a lovely smile. I opted lasagne on this occasion and my friend went for his favourite steak, cooked the way he liked it. I was really pleased with the service and food quality 😋

Went in for breakfast. Food was amazing would highly recommend. Staff are brilliant.

Was there yesterday just for a couple of coffees with a distant relation while mulling over old times and new. Despite our only having a couple of coffees each the service was efficient, helpful and friendly. A good advertisement for what to expect if going for something more substantial. Thank you.

A popular local pub & restruant under the Hungry Horse banner, offering cheap eats and drinks.We visited on a Friday early evening, spur of the moment & the place was very busy, with around a 45 minute wait for for food, so probably worth pre booking a table & bearing this in mind ahead if your visit.Food arrived hot & good sized portions, good value aa two burgers for the price of one one a Friday.Off road parking right outside the pub.
