Awful. Attended a family party here where the buffet was a disgrace to put it mildly, raw freezing cold chicken pink inside that had to be pulled, the food was frozen solid put in a dark cold tent outside. Paid a fortune for it, could have done the lot for £50 max. Nobody ate the food it was seriously that bad. Had to tell the Dj to tell ppl not to eat it. Staff didnt care at all. Dirty unstocked toilets, understaffed, tables piled high and a night ruined by the uncaring management. Dont give them your money. They run once they have it!

I went to an anniversary party here last weekend. Food hygiene was very poor. The chicken was bright red inside, totally uncooked. The buffet was also put outside in a tent to go cold. It's a small hotel with no other function rooms, not like it's a high pressure hotel, how could the food be so badly managed. Think this place is managed by Mr Bean?

Staff really accomodating on the whole, they switched our rooms on request, and it was peaceful and fine for a 1 night stay. We attended a wedding at the Palms and walked there & back no trouble. The bed could have been comfier, and perhaps a little more choice, or a menu for breakfast so we could have known more clearly what the options were? lots of interesting memorabilia if you're a Beatles fan. Not a flash hotel, more cosy B&B, but nice staff, & overall fine for a stop over 👍

Oh my goodness I've never had to climb so many stairs to get to a room before ... absolutely no good for the elderly or physically challenged as there are no lift in the part where we stayed. The room was tired and in need of a total make over. The curtains were hanging off the curtain fittings....the staff were friendly but we will not be staying here again. So sad as the hotel is in a nice spot with sefton park just across the road.

Great place to work and relax - has been my office away from the office recently. Visiting appointment guests love the location, atmosphere, heritage, ambience and the stunning view over looking the lake. Warm friendly staff on hand for anything and everything one requires for breakfast, lunch or evening meal. Fantastically amazing!

Really lovely staff and beautiful hotel however the bed was so hard it gave me pressure pain and had an appalling night's sleep. The noise when the toilet flushed was like a fog horn and we could hear the bathrooms of the other rooms next to us. The walls are super thin so we could also hear snoring in the next room and a couple arguing on the other side. The cost of accommodation in Liverpool seems really extreme. We paid nearly £200 and that was low compared with other hotels. Not sure why as you can get a bigger and modern room for £60 in the centre of London.

What a lovely place. Staff are friendly, funny and helpful. Beautiful setting and food was fantastic! Love the way they celebrate Stuart Sutcliffe too, such an important part of the Beatles story.

You can't open windows in the room, carpet haven't been hoovered for a long time and had stains on it. Dusting haven't been done for ages too. Wardrobes has a funny smell (wouldn't recommend put your clothes in there). You can't eat outside of the hotel as you will be told off even there is a sitting area. They take £25 deposit in case you will damage anything. I have no words about the bed. Also, they didn't made our bed next day or hoovered the carpet! No shower gel in the room or fresh towels!
