Good but should be renamed to the not a pound bakery

Food is ok but not great and prices are pretty good.

I understand menu is basic & priced at that, what I don't understand are the rude staff, they spend far too much time chatting to each other & not enough time serving customers, hence the long line for service, also I asked, politely for a strawberry tart, was told (without her looking up from the grease stained till) "if there's non in the fridge we've got non" I asked for an ice donut & again I was answered "if there's non in the fridge we've got non" she then continued to chat on a personal basis with another member of staff. Just so rude.

Had food at the cafe whilst there. Great prices for a good meal. Decent enough seating and table. Enjoyable

Been here many times whilst visiting Liverpool to shop , great all day breakfast at a great price, love it.

Went for a coffee, seen what one customer got. Cappuccino looked like MUD. She said it was vile. I left, wishing her luck

Love shopping here they have delicious cakes and sandwiches

Pretty basic shop not very big and could be improved easily. Otherwise not a bad range of snacks and sandwiches at a reasonable price.

Unfortunately the last time we visited the Pound Bakery it was not a good experience. Whenever we go to Liverpool we usually come here for breakfast. The breakfasts are good and of a reasonably good quality and very inexpensive. We has no issues with the food the problem sadly was due to the staff. As usual they were busy but on that day it was more so as they were short staffed. This would not have been a problem as we would could understand them being busy and having to wait. What we could not understand was the fact that they brought our food out without any cutlery. Usually the Cutlery would be out and you collect it yourselves but they didn't seem to have any. We asked 3 different staff members 6 times for forks. Not only did they not care but they were rude and completely unhelpful. We asked politely and did not shout but they just did not want to know. Forks arrived eventually when they were thrown at us. By this time our food was cold. Made an online complaint but have yet to receive a reply.
