The food and service were great. We had plenty of time to eat our meal and it didn't feel like there were too many people so we felt safe.

We attended a family party. Really nice space and bar.

Very disappointing. Steak was tough and full of gristle and the sea bass was wafer thin and dry. I would not recommend this restaurant as when we mentioned this to the staff they weren’t interested. I would give no stars at all if it was an option.

Great friendly staff and homey enviroment. Really good sundays roast. Salad overprice (12pounds) for the size of it.

Great night, food really good prawn starter a very generous portion of prawns, for mains, the plaice was absolutely delicious and the cheese board to finish was enough for 2 with a good selection of cheeses. For entertainment, the Elton John tribute was really good to listen to. There seemed plenty of space for those who chose a safe distance. I for one will be going back.

Lovely atmosphere with some really great meals in generous portion sizes. The crusts on our pizzas were perfect and my burger was cooked perfectly. Glad we stumbled across this place, would definitely recommend to others.

Called in on a recommendation from a friend while enjoying a day in the town for my birthday. It was lunchtime and wasn't busy so we had the pick of the tables. As it was sunny we chose to sit in the courtyard at the back. We ordered 6 of the "small plates" between two of us. Got to say the food was fantastic - especially the garlic prawns, with a special mention for the chorizo. Good selection of drinks. I had the Camden Pale Ale. Staff were great. Nice and friendly. It's not often I get to Southport but when I do, I'll be eating at Rueters for certain. Thank you!

I'll start with the positives - the food is tasty and the bar itself is very nice with good outdoor space. It is centrally located in town. It is being held back by the service at the moment. I understand it is under new management and unfortunately, it shows. The bar staff seem all to be quite inexperienced and although pleasant, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The bar manager wasn't able (or willing?) to split a bill on our last visit and so the members of the party staying on had to come and pay their bill half way through their round of drinks and meals as they were unable to let us pay for our food and drink when we wanted to leave. There is a long wait for anyone to offer you a drink, even when it isn't busy. The prices of food and drink has increased dramatically and I don't think the quality has gone up to reflect that. This has potential to be as busy as it used to be if some improvements are made.

Our first visit today for lunch. It's a very nicely decorated and classy looking bar and restaurant. We each had a sandwich with chips and salad, and agreed it was very tasty and substantial. The salad let it down a bit - just a few small leaves of lettuce with dressing. The service was quick, although it was very quiet when were there - 12:30pm on Saturday.

Nice and clean bar and grill. Very quiet on a Saturday lunchtime but busy at night. Lunch was tasty and the waitress very accommodating.
