Came here today with my boyfriend and our two young children. This is our second time visiting as we came here last summer and the food was so lovely we returned. We ordered 2 cod and chips meals with sides and a kids cod bites meal and a pot of tea for two. The prices were less than on the menu which slightly confused me (not complaining 😜)so we all ate and had a drink for under £25.We will return again if we are back in the area.Thankyou.

If i could give a zero rating I would !! Visited with my family on a special day out , thought on our way back we would go and get some fish and chips , we walked in and some hobbit style guy pointed to two chairs and said in an aggressive manner we are closed pointing to two chairs by where you que to get the food this was 7pm. Your opening hours state 9pm. How about put a closed sign on the door and perhaps learn how to speak to customers in the correct manner. Definitely would advise not entertaining this place !!

Fish and salad - the fish was drowning in half an inch of water from the salad and chips and cheese came on a kids size plate for £4.55. Poor quality for the price so won't be back again

Staff are always really helpful we busit with our grandfather with dementia who loves it! Fish always good quality! We always visit close to closing so never busy and never have to wait long. Always busy with bikers at the takeawy section with loads of different style bikes.

The worst fish and chips I've ever tried on the West Coast... The staff is nice and friendly, the waiting time is OK, not bothered to wait for a nice meal... Unfortunately it wasn't nice at all... We thought that it is fresh - busy, popular location so the food is (supposed to be) fresh and hot.The chips was black, undercooked (or it was that bad quality... Couldn't decide it! The fish was small in a huge thick butter coat. The butter was extremely greasy, full with fat, and badly undercooked... Just don't understand the fact you're waiting 10 minutes and still undercooked. Paid £15 for 2 meals but half of the food ate by the birds. The tables by the business is very sticky, dirty.. All over empty plastic forks and cups. The council should force this company to keep tidy the dining area.Overall, I wouldn't give an other go for them and don't recommend it anyone who expect a little better quality of fish than 1 star.

Went on Friday with my family. Cost me £35 for 4 diet cokes, 1 fish chips and peas, chips pie gravy and 4portions chips. We asked for large portions but were stunned which what we got. They where tiny ……we had to have something else to eat when we got home because we where still hungry! We won’t be going again! I wish we had taken it all back to the counter and complained. I can’t afford to spend that sort of money on a treat to be still hungry.

DIABOLICAL!We ordered fish & mushy peas and a separate portion of chips. The portion was tiny for the price and when I seen the stuff they served I should of refused it there and then. Anyway chips dark brown, tasteless, 'warm' not hot same with peas and other portion of chips... they had NO taste, I asked for salt...still tasteless so took the 'stuff' back its not stuff but greasy, tasteless, dark stodge, it was horrible. The service was appalling, she couldn't'wrap the food either. Don't they train these kids in politeness and how to serve a customer? NO! As the service is representative of the food garbage!Took 'the stuff' back and got my money back.Going to McDonalds who know how to treat and serve their customer's and their food is FRESH, clean and tasty!DO NOT EAT HERE BE WARNED.

Overpriced for what it is. Take full advantage of their location. The views are brilliant overlooking the lake. The staff are really good and the service is good but the food could just be so much better. Most of it by literally spening 60 seconds longer in a fryer. Chips are single fried which makes them somewhat soggy. The fish is undercooked with the batter not being great.

This is the grimmest place I have every been. Tables left with dirty plates for well over half hour. Asked o e of the staff to clean a high chair they said they don't have anything to clean it with and it's over priced. Avoid at all costs!!!!!
