Very friendly staff but unfortunately the chips were horrid. Potatoes frozen and not cooked through properly, hot at first then immediately went cold and hard. I expected that they would have used fresh potatoes being a chippy should no better. Such a shame.

Very nice fish, chips and mushy peas. It was a senior citizens meal deal for £6.00 great value for May 2022. Chips crisp and dry, fish lightly battered, peas tasty. Came with a pot of tea and a slice of bread and butter. Staff very friendly and attentive. Restaurant exceptionally clean. Served very quickly on a hot plate which makes all the difference. Will definitely go back.

Called in here today with the family for dinner. I ordered haddock with chips and curry sauce with a cold drink which they were still happy to do at the special price. We all really enjoyed the food lovely crisp batter and tasty chips and sauce. We will definitely go again if in southport again. Friendly staff and didn't feel rushed as we have done in other places.

Great Plaice 😊on the main shopping parade in Southport. Fantastic VFM. Had the daily Special, Cod, Chips, Mushy Peas, Bread and Butter and Pot of Tea, all for £7.95. Absolutely spotless. You can dine in or sit at the tables outside. Lovely very friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.

Very good value Fish and chips half the price of that Gordon Ramsey gaff without the faff, with coffee bread and butter. Lovely staff very friendly and chatty. Would go again if in Southport and wanted a decent fish 🎣 and chips 🍟 Kids enjoyed there scampi/chips sausage/chip meals also. Very clean also and well maintained with toilets.

A gastronomic delight, the fish (cod) was excellent cooked to perfection, we were looked after by 3 members of staff, who were very polite and friendly, we enjoyed a good experience and our two yorkies we're welcomed (outside). I have only one critical comment: the toilet could do with a little TLC, toilet seat on the floor and the hand dryer was very poor it wouldn't cost a lot to bring it up to scratch and make it a 5 star experience.

Visited King's Plaice on 26.9.21 first time I've eaten there . I was pleased with the meal of fish🐟 and 🍟 i had. The fish tasted freshly cooked very moist and batter crispy the chips 🍟 are good too .the staff was polite and attentive and there are toilets 🚻 inside for customers. Well worth a visit if you are in Southport .

Had a few hours out in Southport, called into Kings Plaice for a bite to eat, friend had a small fish and chips with mushy peas , bread and coffee and I had the regular size , cost uust under £14 , well worth the money , fish was absolutely cooked to perfection with a nice covering of light batter , staff friendly and helpful , safety measures well in place , also liked that each table had a large sanitizer to gel your hands once you had sat down to eat
