The Old Duke in Sefton

I was served my Tania Phoebe and Ruby tonight, excellent team of ladies who were polite and attentive. The chefs, Gareth and Tom, cooked some amazing food too… highly recommend this place !

What a fantastic lunch. We had 2 surf and turf, (steak and scampi. It was beautiful. The staff Simon + Jodi were looking after us they were fantastic and chef Gareth his cooking was perfect. Couldn't have ask for better. Would recommend to everyone.

Called in after a hospital appointment with my husband we were both more than hungry, first time we've visited, on arrival first impressions beautifully kept outside with lots of greenery and secure play area. On entering received a warm welcome and were seated and waited on,the pub was a good size and very clean, staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were asked if we wanted garlic bread why deciding on our meals (nice touch) and being famished obviously said yes. Service was quick and food quality was lovely better than expected for a chain pub, a good menu choice with plenty of offers we went for light bite gamon and added deserts for £2.00 the food arrived cooked to perfection courtesy of Gareth, to say the whole visit was a pleasant surprise thanks so much to Simon for looking after us we will definitely be back.

Great food, lovely staff and great value for money.I visited for the first time last week with my mum. Si pointed out an offer that was on with the steaks. The food was cooked perfectly. The wine was good and overall it was excellent value. Will definitely be visiting again.

First time visiting this pub and I can say it is well worth a visit. Staff warm, welcoming and very helpful. We decided to have the sirloin steak, one with pepper sauce. For me it was very tasty and cooked as asked for. Had fries rather than thick cut chips, which were lovely and crispy. The pepper sauce had a good coating consistency and tasted sublime. I can't say it often enough but this place IS well worth a visit. We'll certainly be going again in the future.

As usual this place didn’t disappoint. Each time we go, the service is superb, and the staff are very friendly. Especially with the children. During the past 2 years or so, we’ve been around 8-10 times, and each time has been consistent with a high level of service, and friendliness. Would definitely recommend, and look forward to going back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a birthday meal at The Old Duke tonight and we’re very happy with the food and service. The staff Ruby and Phoebe were attentive and helpful and the food was deliciously cooked by Tom.There was 7 of us and a mix of generations. The youngest being 4 who was kept entertained in the kids area and the outside fenced in play area. We didn’t have to wait too long for the food to come out all together and piping hot.Thank you and we will be back next month for the next family members birthdayWould highly recommend this pub

We had a lovely lunch at the duke. The service was outstanding, a warm and friendly welcome from Ellie. Nothing was too much trouble, we will definitely be going again and we will certainly recommend the duke to our friends.

Went for lunch for my partners birthday, we were greeted by 2 very friendly male staff, food was beautiful, well presented & came in good time. The pub was clean & welcoming and we would certainly visit again in the near future. Over all a very nice place to visit. Thank you

We arrived for our booked time of 6pm and sat at our reserved table, we ordered food and drinks and the starters came promptly by our waitress who was very well presented and friendly, our plates were taken away but then the main meals didn't arrive for another hour and twenty minutes but as it was busy we didn't complain. The food when it eventually arrived was hot and well presented and tasted delicious. We stayed for the quiz which was great fun and a bonus as we won. We will definitely be back as the food was great, the staff very friendly and a cracking atmosphere, a solid 9 out of 10 only let down was the wait for our main meals.
