The railway ainsdale in Sefton

One of the worst pubs I’ve ever been to, asked for an Atlantic Pale Ale and received something more akin to a pint of Carling. When I politely informed a member of the bar staff that it wasn’t a pale ale, I was dismissed by someone who I presume was the owner, and told to drink it or leave it, despite having already paid. If you don’t like sticky tables, a tacky pub, and delusional and stubborn bar staff, I’d avoid Champs Ainsdale like the plague.

Went to watch the football, got to half time and then what happens, it gets switched off coz someone asks for the horse racing. Get it if loads of people want it on. But 1person asks for horse racing and half the tvs get switched over

Had a fantastic time in this bar and the manager and his friend were lovely the bars manager was a lovely lady

Had a great night for my friends 40th atmosphere was great and the staff were brilliant

Very nice customer service, amazing food and very spacious. Great place to stop for a meal or a quick drink. Would go again.

Good atmosphere, however when ordering the main dish of 2 x mixed grills with 2 x peppercorn sauce, the mixed grill meat was split between two so one piece of chicken cut in half and served on two plates, it was burnt to a crisp and salty, the same was done with the steak and pork, cut in half, the peas were cold and the peppercorn sauce forgotten about, when asked for them had to wait a further 15 minutes and it was runny like water, they only brought one and when asked for a second it was brought over in a ceramic dish, people friendly enough, but wouldn't eat there again. Awful food

Really great food, well presented, yummy, and REALLY good value! The girl serving tables was really great, she brought out my brother's birthday cake, was genuinely lovely, and obviously really good at her job! Thanks so much 😊

The staff are friendly but the pizza and the slush is foul. Perhaps a good place for a drink, Champs should be avoided at all costs if a meal is what you're after.
