The Richmond in Sefton

Enjoyed a great 2 for £13 meal on saturday. Not much choice on this offer as expected but food was still great. Served in a decent time and tasted great. Will be visiting again to try out the normal menu on another sunny day!

(Update as my first review somehow was cut short) Nice pub! We came for carvery. The food was great and there is an good selection of drinks. Friendly staff. Parking available at the place. For sure we will come back.

Nicely decorated qnd food not bad! Had the ultimate bbq burger which was chicken breast buttermilk chicken burger and beefburger with onion ring cheese sauce and bbq sauce! Beef burger bit bland and couldn't taste the bbq sauce. Fella had 10oz gammon steak with chips! Good value! Will try hanging kebab next time

Evening meal out on a Wednesday .... was quiet so service was great, very attentive and food arrived quickly and was hot

Second time visiting this lovely pub, it’s about 40mins away from us so it is a special trip. First time was 3 years ago for my partners birthday and the food was lovely then and the staff helpful and polite. Went again last night and the decor is gorgeous and atmosphere spot on. Food and staff fabulous and I would highly recommend. Lots of couples and adults no children when we went, although that may be because it was 7pm on a Tuesday school night. Nice to get away from the kids and have a nice adult conversation without lots of noise! Maybe different on a Saturday or earlier on in the day, but perfect when we went.Try it you won’t be disappointed!

Visited with my wife for tea after doing some shopping. It was still fairly busy when we arrived, we were show a couple of available tables, once seated, meals were chosen & order placed at the bar, the gentleman behind the bar was pleasant and helpful, finding the best offer package to save us a couple of ££'s coz we ordered 2 coarses with drink. The starters arrived quickly, we both ordered mushrooms in a stilton & garlic sauce, these were excellent. Plenty of mushrooms & a tasty sauce. My wife had Beef Lasgne for mains & I had the chicken dish with the stilton sauce. The food was nicely presented & a decent portion. The staff are attentive but not intrusive. This our 2nd visit recently and would recommend a visit.

So disappointed. Had Christmas Dinner turkey etc.Whole meal was luke warm.Sprouts rock hard.Roast potatoes all white sausage pink not browned at all.Soggy Yorkshire pudding.Desserts were great Christmas pudding and sauce friends cheesecake and sorbet all lovely.Let down by main course.Everyone of the group complained we had £2.50 knocked off our £12.95 2 course bill.Nice waiter very apologetic. Such a shame as in the past food was always great from the carvery now it's brought to you.Still love the place itself so will go again.

Had Xmas lunch today for our friends birthday it was delish 😋 starter pate excellent and lots of it. Xmas Roast Beef was fab very tasty ,hot and again plenty. Price excellent.. Staff so polite and attentive well done and to the Chefs too 👏 👍

Went for a lovely evening drink with some friends. Inside every table was full, the venue was clean, and the staff had a friendly smile.We sat outside at the tables under the canopy and had access to the free heat lamps which were really good, although only lasting for 4.5 minutes at a go, did feel it interrupted the flow of conversation.The loos (male) were clean and smelt clean, so no complaints there.Only reason 4 stars given (and not 5) is that I haven't had chance to see the menu and experience the food, but the rest of the establishment was easily 5 stars.

Excellent staff and service the food was excellent will definitely be coming back keep up the good work
