Rotation of food not great, sausage tasted like it had been there all day! I watched them cook fresh fish and put that at the front meaning fish at the back had been sat there a long time. Very disappointed during this visit as Sandgrounder is usually my favourite fish and chip shop!

Had Haddock Chips and Mushy Peas for the umpteenth time yesterday. As usual the portion was great and the quality fantastic. Would go nowhere else

Came for a visit to Southport for a day trip, and called into the chippy, with my little girl, was the best fish and chips we’ve had for a long time, cheap too, staff were very kind and welcoming, il definitely recommend to other and will be back again, thank you for our tasty tea.

Bit pricey for what you get, but have to expect as much in a seaside resort. Meal was lukewarm though, which was unexpected given it was empty but still took 10 mins to get served.

Came in on Friday after a quick visit with my two young grandchildren. In my order I asked for pudding. It was not a steak and kidney pudding. Not sure what it was, but did not like it. It had onions and I think mince, will not be ordering that again.

Very good quality for a reasonable price. Had small chips and curry. Bit disappointed that they only had large sausages available, as I only wanted a small, but otherwise enjoyed what we had

Decided to go here for lunch as the prices were more than reasonable. Will definitely be returning, not just for the price but the staff were friendly and the food was amazing.

A quick Friday evening visit to Southport could mean only one thing.... Chippy tea!! We dropped on the Sandgrounder and what a gem of find this place was. The food was really enjoyable and servings were a good size for all of us. The staff were friendly and helpful too! Definitely worth a try... We will be back again next time we are in town!!!
