Had a nice meal at the newly refurbish pub,food was hot,well presented & quite nice,admit a little pricey,have had better food for the price i paid but on the whole all was fine.

Lived in Southport for 25 years and I never paid The Shrimper a visit - somehow didn't fancy it. It's now been renovated into The Marsh Harrier and looks so much nicer than before. Visited on Easter Monday and it was lovely. Bar staff were really friendly, food was nice and the drinks flowed. I don't know how much different it is to what it was before but it's well worth a visit now

This place is fantastic, great new look, bar staff are friendly and helpful. Butvto be fair the old bar staff were too. Not eaten there yet, but the food coming out looked good.

Nice clean pub ,but i was charged £7.05 for a pint of fosters and and a small alcohol free becks with a tiny drop of blackcurrant bloody expensive, receipt was not itemized bit off putting, will not be going back.

Went in just for a drink on Saturday - opening day. Busy with diners, families with children. Very pleasant staff, clean and tidy BUT the comments on here have nothing to do with the Marsh Harrier!! A new clean site should be started, particularly in view of so many negative comments from the past. Very unfair on the new regime.

New management have breathed life into what was the old Shrimper pub. Lovely decor, friendly service and a no nonsense pub grub menu sprinkled with surprising additions such as cauliflower wings. Regular special nights include bingo and quizzes, providing something for everyone.

Only called for a drink but the menu looks good.The refurbishment looks really good and everywhere looked very clean.There was a warm welcome from the man behind the bar.There is plenty of outside seating.Will be calling for food soon
