The Swan in Sefton

Excellent service, very welcoming and friendly. Ordered small cod and chips, which would be plenty for most adults. Delicious meal.

The only place we go for food when we are in Southport. Went today and wasn't surprised that the prices had gone up with everything the way things are at the moment. The food is always fresh and lovely. Staff are attentive, polite and lovely. Everything is lovely 😍 well worth the money at any price.

Lovely staff and great service. Cod small meal was great that my mum had. My son had chicken bites and chips again really nice. I had homemade steak pie. Bit of a let down, not had it here for a couple of years. It wasn't good, grisly steak and not as good as it used to be, sorry.

Great fish and chips, choice of fish too. Good, pleasant staff, does get busy so queues are likely but simply because it serves up good, fresh food. Would recommend 👌

Never eaten fish and chips before in Southport so looked on Trip Advisor for a recommendation. We stopped a couple of locals when we were close by to ask where this particular place was and they said we should try Swans instead...they said all the locals go there. Glad we changed...very nice haddock, chips and peas and a pot of tea. Very good value and lovely service too.

This chippy has been here as long as I can remember and there's a reason! The food is always excellent, the staff are welcoming and friendly and the prices are spot on. The fish was so fresh with tasty batter and a big portion of chips that I feel guilty for finishing! Didn't have room for desert but next time I'll be having the crumble!

Very busy restaurant, even though they were short staffed our meal came really quickly. Me and my husband ordered the steak pie special which was lovely and hot with a big jug of gravy! Friendly staff, will definitely be back again!!

Really gutted. After living in southport for 35 years finally tried this place with fiance on a wet rainy day we fancied a nice portion of chips and jumbo sausage. I waited in car as she ran inside and was suprised she came out asking for more money even though gave her 5 pound note. She cam back with jumbo sausage and large portion chips. Really overpriced and the portion of chips was like a small size anywhere else definately not large.nothing special about this place chips wernt great and tasty oily.

This is the smallest fish I have ever had from a chippy. I have been going to the Swan for many years, always been decent portions, but this is a joke. Time to find a new chippy 😞

Just tucked behind the main promenade; We saw so many locals queuing up for takeaways and also eating in their restaurant. We ordered some takeaways for the family.The Cod is well cooked with light batter and nice chips.The scampi is freshly prepared and very tastyThe homemade steak pie is a must tryThe service is good and very efficient and friendly staff. Highly recommend this restaurant if you in the area.
