It's OK not the cleanest of Toby Carvery I've been in. I have noticed that the ones being delivered get seen to first so we where waiting at least 10 minutes to be served.Found a ginger long hair in my food. Member of staff didn't Want to know. Will not be going back there.

Very accommodating friendly staff, extremely busy yet they still helped us get a table together with our family. Nothing was too much trouble.Food was tastey for the price and the service at the counter was also good. The staff are so pleasant.Only gripe would be that the restraunt is looking a bit unkept.

It must be a very honest review... Toby Carvery is a popular place to visit for a good roast dinner all year round. It was the first time in this particular one in Aintree. Middle of the pandemic none of the staff wore face masks or clinical gloves! Also, none of the guests were required either. Mostly elderly people walking up and down without a face mask... They supposed to be the so called vulnerable people by the NHS, Media etc. The top of the top was when a large group of people came in with a lot of kids, who were running around the tables freely. Mummy took a cca 4 year old kid to the food counter where the kid had a good 'healthy' sneeze over the food... No escauses, or telling the staff put all the food in the bin... Like nothing happened! Really disgusting. I will definitely never visit this place in the future.

I booked a table for boxing Day and was looking forward to it. Unfortunately we were left very disappointed. As we arrived, we were not welcomed in any way, even though it was boxing day.The starter was advertised as having sorbet and raspberry crunch, it was not sorbet, it was bits of fruit and there was no raspberry crunch. If you were out of stock, you could have just said, instead of passing off the issue to the customer leaving them with the choice of making a fuss or shutting up.The meat and Yorkshire puddings on the roast were nice, but the rest of it was not. Everything tasted stale, as though it had been sitting under the heat lamps for some time. The desserts took a long time to come out and were also not as advertised. The staff were more focused on setting up for breakfast the next day instead of the customers that were actually sitting in the restaurant. We got up to pay as nobody came to the table, we were standing around the till waiting to pay with staff walking past us setting up for the next day, I had to interrupt someone to get the bill. We just felt like we were in the way of everyone finishing their shift. If the reason you give is that we booked a table near the end of the shift; in my opinion, if you allow people to book a table, you should get the same experience near the end of the day as you would at the start of the day.I did not complain at the time because it was boxing day, everyone had probably had a long, busy day and I didn't want to add to that.

Just had a lovely carvery here, really lovely staff and service, pleasant, courteous and professional. Excellent selection of beautifully cooked meats and vegetables and all at a very reasonable price. Would certainly return :) one star list due to the tiredness of the interior, could do with modernisation.

On the whole, it was a good visit. The only problem we encountered was a shortage of eggs for the breakfast. This was probably due to the fact they're cooked as they're needed, and people tend to take more than one. The Santa's grotto was fine and the team working there were friendly and good fun.I would add, the staff at this location are generally always polite, helpful and friendly, even when you can see they're very busy.

Booked online and arrived and no one was there to check you in after 8 minute wait. Get notification on phone that they are sorry I did not turn up? Looks bad next time I book. Order 2 breakfasts, 1 being veggie. 5 minutes later told there are no veggie sausages, if they are not in then they should know at the till or even offer a free coffee or orange juice as a gesture.....nothing. meat sausages were very poor quality, might have been safe to be called a veggie sausage. Mushrooms were great and bacon too. Will try again as I do like Torby breakfast and a great price too.

Visited for the infamous Carvery. A little mean with the meats but otherwise very nice. Staff very courteous and happy to help. Nice atmosphere, calm, warm and very pleasant. I would go again.

We visit this place every couple of months. The staff here are always welcoming and will do what they can to help. We called in on Sunday on the spur of the moment & arrived when it was full to say the least! The people at the reception desk took a few minutes but found two empty tables for two. There were 4 of us & the tables were quite spaced apart but we were happy all we wanted was to eat. The ladies who looked after us were quite funny passing messages between our two tables & looking after us really well.

Great food and staff are very welcoming my only criticism and that of others that I have spoken to is they could give you proper slices of meat not slithers you could hardly say you get a full slice of what you ask for, plus there is no freshly cooked vegetables like other carveries I've been to it's mostly tinned with cauliflower cheese which doesnt belong on a roast dinner. What I've had was very tasty and well cooked.I would say it's great value for money
