Westminster Tea Rooms in Sefton

I love this place and would eat breakfast, lunch and dinner here if I could. The ambiance, staff and food are excellent. The 1930's is one of my favourite eras and this place does it proud. I'm vegetarian and nothing was too much for the kitchen to arrange vegetarian options of some of their food. I love a good cup of tea and to be served lapsang sochong from a silver teapot is a treat. The waiters were dressed in white shirt and black waist coat, very attentive. The atmosphere in the tea room is lovely, could stay there all day. Highly recommended place to go while in Southport

We stumbled across this lovely hidden gem today! We were lucky to get a table but so happy we did, the staff where so welcoming and the atmosphere was great. It was like taking a step back in time with the music and the decor. The modern had some great classics but modernist with vegan and gluten alternatives which is great for everyday people now. My mum loved the perfectly brewed special blend and the kitchen staff where so helpful and considerate of my allergy. We will definitely be visiting again for the afternoon tea or Sunday lunch as the food was just heavenly. I can't fault the value for money with the pricing aswell, it was a great price for our two lunches with drinks.

Had sunday breakfast here with the family ! It has a quaint charm of a bygone era the staff wear black with white aprons. There was a great choice i personally had eggs Benedict it was delicious eggs were cooked perfectly and i would definitely go here again

Lovely atmosphere, food and service was excellent. We need more tea rooms like this one. Real old fashioned loveliness.

Fantastic traditional tea rooms !!!😊 Fabulous selection of food, cakes and tea. Reminds me of the famous Betty's tea rooms of Harrogate. Staff were all extremely helpful and the food was exceptional ☺️👍🏼

This place is so lovely and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Always love coming here everytime I come to Southport. They do gluten free lovely gluten free sandwich and cake with ice cream

Really quirky olde fashion tea rooms. Small with limited seating but loads of character and a really extensive choice in their menu, my friend is vegan and was overwhelmed at how much choice there was for her.We waited to be sat, and were given menus once sat. Two further parties came in and sat after us. Slightly annoyingly those parties had their food order taken before us, meaning that our wait to eat was going to be even longer and we were starving! Our order was taken and as food is prepared fresh it was explained we would have a little wait.About 30mins later our food had arrived, we had been sat now for nearly an hour. However, the food was definitely worth the wait... every mouthful was good... I sampled some of my friends vegan gravy on my baguette which just added to the flavour.If you're not in a rush then this place is definitely worth a visit.Would have been nice to be compensated in some way for initially being forgotten though.

An extremely nice tea room near the front, the decor and service is like going back in time, we only had tea and cake but everything was fantastic, the service is brilliant and the menu for all of the other food looked really nice, if you’re in the area it is definitely worth a visit

Beautifully dressed for Christmas. Delicious soup and crusty bread. Nicely presented pot of tea and a homemade all butter Viennese Whirl for afters. Fabulous!

Wonderful Victorian tea rooms with a varied vegan menu. The food was fabulous and all plates were empty. The host/server was very knowledgeable and polite. My friends and I felt very relaxed and enjoyed the ambience. I can’t wait to return on my next visit to Southport.
