Alpine in South Lakeland

What a lovely find! Really friendly service, great value and good menu. Good attention to COVID and cleaning practices which made us more comfortable.

Outstanding service and fantastic food. Our lunch was brilliantly cooked and was made of top class ingredients. The portions were extremely generous so make sure you have an appetite when you arrive. Lastly a giant pot of tea for two with extra boiling water to top up. Faultless.

This little gem is tucked away from the main street.I would highly recommended this lovely friendly cafe, lovely food, great price...not packed out, plenty of space to sit and enjoy the delious food. My quiche was obviously home made and even the side salad was fresh, crisp and more than just a leaf on a plate.Great value- thank you

I visited the cafe yesterday as part of my birthday surprise day out. I was with my husband Steve. We were made to feel so welcome as soon as we walked through the door. I ordered the vegetable soup special of the day and my husband had a baguette special with chips and salad. The soup was the right temperature and was full of flavour and the cheese scone that came with it was out of this world. Recommended to go here,wow it was great. Had a big breakfast that was fresh and hot and seen us through till tea time. Even the dog was spoilt. We'll worth the money and a visit.

Our lunch was lovely, very happy that we checked out this café. The gentleman serving us was amazing. He made our visit incredibly enjoyable and he clearly took great pride in his café. He found activities for my daughter whilst we waited for our food, offering his notepad and a pen so she could draw.The overall experience was great and I could not recommend this place enough. Every customer was treated amazing, whether calling in for a coffee or having something to eat, this is the place to check out.I am already looking forward to when we can next visit. We will certainly be back when next in the area.

Last day of holiday in the Lakes. Raining in Bowness. Popped in to Alpine for a coffee. What a lovely and friendly place. The place looked so inviting all warm and cosy. The menue and prices were amazing. To top it all the waiter could not do enough for you and even topped up our coffees for free which is something we have not experienced in the U.K.Regards Dave & Dulcie

Can't fault The Alpine..... arrived quite close to closing, thought we might get turned away - and we'd been hillwalking for 4 days, so weren't the cleanest. Excellent food, big pot of coffee, a jug of water with fruit. Top staff - super friendly female waiter. Well worth getting away from the lakeside places to come here 👍🏼

We always visit this cafe when we are in the lake district. The breakfasts and food is lovely and the staff are so friendly, we always look forward to seeing George and Dawn when we visit, they are so welcoming and friendly, we can't wait to be back again next year! Our little boy loved his ice cream! Thanks again for another great visit.

Just called in for an all day breakfast. One of the best we've ever had. All freshly cooked to perfection & hot (which makes a welcome change). Huge pot of tea with a pot of hot water, another big plus.The gentleman who served us was very friendly & attentive.Will definitely be back & will recommend to friends.
