Applegarth Villa Restaurant in South Lakeland

Definitely worthy of its 5*. We stayed 2 nights bed & breakfast in a suite with a hot tub which we enjoyed especially because of the wonderful view from the balcony. It was also so nice to have table service at breakfast. Close by are friendly bars & restaurants but far enough that our stay was not disturbed. The property was spotless, staff friendly & helpful.

First visit to this Hotel.Celebrated my 60th Birthday during our stay.We stayed in the Brodcrag Suite with lovely views and the Hot Tub was superb. The Bathroom was wonderful too.Breakfast was awesome, cooked to order. Lovely.Had a superb meal on my Birthday. Nice touch when the waitress brought out some Fresh Strawberries & Local Fudge with Happy Birthday written in Chocolate Sauce on the plate.Great location for not only Windermere and the lake but many other locations and attractions in the Lake District.All of the staff were great and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

Just had a drink- didn't stay. I was carrying a tray Inc hot water for teaThe person who provided the drinks wouldn't even open the door to the outside- he just kept walking, flicked his hand towards the door and gave a very brief explanation on how to open the door. In my opinion that is non-existant customer service. No effort.

Central location so a walk to food or drink we enjoyed our weekend stay family run and small it was clean friendly the food is pricey but lovely the steak to die for the only thing i missed was a chill room there was just the bar but it was cozy would book a bigger room if i went again

Beautiful modern room with jacuzzi hot tub, large bath with TV, rain shower, comfy bed, Bluetooth music speaker and delicious Valentine's meal. Shall definitely return.

Great weekend break in a fabulous place on the doorstep of Windermere. Weather was better than expected has it didn't rain but was warm so good walking available definitely stay again soon many thanks for a great room overlooking the running track. Very quiet and peaceful perfect. 👍👌P

Amazing hotel with super friendly staff and excellent service.Booked a romantic 2 night get away for an anniversary and stayed in room 11 at the top of the hotel, very stylish, an incredible bathroom, and amazing views.We had a wonderful relaxing stay, breakfast and dinner were superb and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.We'll definitely be back in the future.

This is the second time staying at this hotel and we have been extremely impressed both times.The rooms are spotlessly clean, large and modern, with lots of character. Everything you need is in the room. I love all the little extras like hot chocolate, mini chocolates, biscuits, dressing gowns, slippers it really makes the stay more homey.The staff have always been friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much. One massive positive of this hotel is they inform the hotel staff to not knock if the sign is not on the door 👍 the countless times we have asked a hotel room to not be cleaned one day so we can have a lie in, and staff still knock continuously at 9am. Here they give you the privacy and relaxed setting you need, but you can ask for more supplies such as towels at any time.The restaurant and menu is beautiful. The hotel is in a perfect location right near all the other restaurants and shops and main bus routes to travel around for the day. It really is a gem. A lot of care has been taken to ensure all their guests have a great stay 👍
