We always make sure we make a trip to Baldrys whenever we make the trip to Grasmere and it never disappoints. Great food, drinks and service. I would highly recommend the full breakfast here it is stunning! Great location in the middle of Grasmere village.

What a find!!!! Staff were really friendly- especially with kids. Had a sandwich and home made soup (tomatoe and sweet potato- was excellent). Was that impressed had to have a scone with jam and cream with a hot chocolate- spent a small fortune but, was worth it. Really nice and rustic inside- if your passing give it a go!!

Lovely, lovely lunch with friendly staff. Double Rarebit was delicious with a cut of bread so thick that the bottom remained crispy while the top held the cheesy sauce. Poached eggs made it extra luxurious.Sausage bap with chutney and ginger parsnip soup was lovely. Sausages were crispy on the outside and savory within. Ginger parsnip soup was piping hot and warmed me right up!

We had tea comprising of scones, apple crumble and two types of tea. It was just awesome and awfully delicious. 🤤

Was a bit underwhelmed here considering the high ratings, rarebit with one piece of bread which appeared to be microwaved. Didn’t think it was good value.

Really enjoyed it in here, had the leek and potato soup with a ham bap and it was very good. Soup was hot and tasted brilliant and the bap was nice with some very nice fresh ham. Good feel to the place inside also with a decent amount of seating. A bit on the pricey side but probably worth it, had an amazing hot chocolate aswell 👏service was nice and fast.

The food was exceptional! Both the rarebit and the Baldrys stack were faultless. The loose leaf tea, latte and hot spiced apple drink were also delicious. We sat outside which was pleasant even with a gentle drizzle. Would definitely recommend and also return to eat there again.

Amazing tea room, great customer service. Loved the scones and white pear tea with ginger.

Best cheese scones ever, served with butter, chutney and grated cheese. Also good selection of breakfast and lunch items plus home made cakes. Tea served in china cups too.

Really nice place to rest eat and admire the decorations in this place.Food is great and they claim it is mainly home made. My soup was good and other dishes were well presented and tasty including the scones. You need to visit the toilet as they haven't cut any corners here neither. The fittings are by the famous Thomas Crapper who was an English businessman / plummer who patented many bathroom fittings we use today. They owned the first bath , toilette and sink. Also his surname is widely used in the industry today. 😊. So now you know why Baldry's is worth a visit even if you're not hungry. Wash your hands and use their extraordinary soap and hand cream. No corners cut in this place. The only reason why I can't give this lovley place the 5 🌟, it is because they are reserved for Michelin, Rosette, etc achievements.
