Fabulous small hotel in a lovely location. The staff are brilliant and very helpful and friendly. Good rooms. Not cheap but worth the money.

Great winter deal. Room comfortable and clean, although very warm. Evening meal and breakfast were very good - only grioe was that porridge was very watery.

A bit pricey but absolutely fantastic, the service, food, drinks, the room and staff were excellant. We have stayed before and definately will again. The picture is the view from a classic lake view room.

A dog friendly hotel where my wife and I stayed for 4 nights over Christmas with our dog Peggy. We received a lovely welcome from the manager, Gavin, and were made to feel right at home. Our room was spacious and cleaned and serviced daily. Had food bowls, sleeping rug and treats for Peggy. All our meals were included in our package and were delicious sizeable portions. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us.In all, a fantastic stay at a highly recommended hotel.

Lovely stay in lake view room over new years eve. We had dinner and breakfast included. Food was consistently good and service excellent. Coffee in morning the only let down

Had to stay here as the Coniston Inn had no electricity due to the storm. Hotel was lovely decorated for Xmas. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful and food excellent. Views would be spectacular in the summer. Will be back.

Lovely hotel and very pleasant and friendly staff. Last minute booking and we stayed in a lake view room, the last one. It was on the ground level with beer garden right outside, there were net curtains but didn't feel very private when people were using the garden seating. so would have preferred a higher room. Having said that the room was very nice with a high ceiling and plenty of space. Also very clean and attended to each day.. We booked in with the Walk-in break deal that the Inn collection offer and find it is good value offer with little extra insensitives added on. We had breakfast and dinner both days we stayed and the food was excellent with a good choice. The dinner menu was what we would discribe as fine dining with prices fair for the quality of the food. It wasn't pub grub so we expect to pay a little more for it. Would be happy to stay again.. Thanks

Very nice place in a really great village. Just came here to get lunch. It is pretty expensive but the décor is impressive. The toilets are very well designed and built and everything was clean. Food was really good. Coffee was awesome which is always a bonus. Lots of thought has gone into the design which is nice. The tables had a glass top with stones underneath.

Had a very nice experience staying here. The staff are helpful, rooms are nice looking and clean, the internet connection is good. The bed is very comfy. The hotel is easy to find being on the main road A591. Behind the hotel is the car park, also in front but only 3 cars. Some eat outs can be found the Inn. The closest village is Ambleside 5 minutes drive. Here you can find more places for food&drinks or shops. Walks around the lake during sunset or early dawn are very relaxing and calming.

Beautiful location close to the lake with easy access to the waterfront. Restaurant has a good menu for breakfast and dinner and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. We found staff busy as hotel was full but offered very good prompt service and were very courteous. Meal times in the restaurant were staggered and time set for meals was arranged at check in.This hotel does not have a lift and there are some stairs to negotiate from main free car park. Our room required us to ascend three floors with some heavy baggage. In my experience hotels in the area rarely have a lift.Given high temperatures overnight there was no air conditioning and this made the room rather warm to sleep. A small desk fan was provided but did not help much.Otherwise the room was well appointed but did not have a hair dryer we could find.Overall a very good stay at this hotel and ideal for a short break for walks in the area or watersports.
