"Something for Everyone! THE BAY HORSE HOTEL AND RESTAURANT A warm welcome awaits, a cosy bar with fire lit in the colder months, hot beverages, mulled wine and cider available as well as a good selection of wines and spirits. A lovely atmosphere where you can feel sure that your grandparents and children will feel happy as well as having a romantic restaurant meal for two, a business meeting in the Conservatory overlooking the Bay or Afternoon Tea with friends. No nouvelle cuisine here! Just good ingredients, many locally sourced, cooked with a no nonsense approach by Robert Lyons (Head Chef at the renowned Miller Howe Hotel for 17 years in the days of John Tovey)"

Lovely friendly atmosphere, great service and fantastic food, including wonderful warm home made rolls with your dinner, such as sundried tomato and basil, or black olive and feta. Also dog friendly as well. Our little chap made himself very comfy as you can see!

Popped in on a Saturday evening for some drinks with friends as they were staying in the accomodation. Cheap drinks and the pub is warm and cosy. We would probably return to try the food next time.

Had a great evening dinner with my family on Christmas eve including our dog. Very dog friendly place. Old fashioned with the addition off a Conservatory looking over to the sea. Nice and pleasant staff.

Went here one quiet week day night with my partner and dogs. We were seated in the bar area as the dog friendly bit,we had a fantastic meal, food was very good, I had a steak it came perfectly cooked to my liking & was served with tasty hand made chips & some equally tasty (I think leak rings) which were delicious, we both had puddings which were also good! The staff were very good and friendly. It's not the cheapest place to eat , but the food was good so we didn't mind paying abit more. We'll be back on another special occasion

Found this place unexpectedly while walking the dog. Just wanted coffee, which was excellent, served the proper way with milk in china jugs, accompanied by the best home-made shortbread we can remember. Friendly, welcoming service. Heartily recommend.

Sadly I would not recommend this hotel. Although the staff were lovely, the hotel wasn’t. We had originally booked for 4 nights but only stayed one, the room not only smelt of mould but had black mould on the bathroom ceiling. The sheets had stains on them, the carpets were dirty, the toilet brush was rusty and dirty, in the breakfast room the butter was left uncovered with fly’s flying around. The whole place needs a thorough Clean and refurbishment. Definitely not worth £100 a night.

Lovely views and felt covid safe, plenty of room between tables and good precautions in place.Food was great, beef sandwich was proper rare beef on good soft bread. The crab sandwich was even better, highly recommend.Staff were friendly and efficient. You can watch the tide coming in from the front. There are rooms to stay in too.Parking outside and nice walks too near the old canal.
