Beresford's Restaurant & Pub in South Lakeland

Awful experience. Our boys said it was the worst burgers they ever had! It was no one else in there. Not sure who reviewed this before but it cant have been the same place! The worst experience we had as a family ever!

Great atmosphere. Friendly and warm staff. Was delightfully surprised with the curry. Asked for hot, and was given a special side curry with Carolina ghost pepper. Wow. Too hot to handle, but drizzled on with perfection. Complimented with the lemon rice and a full selection of desserts.

Excellent food, very tasty and full of flavour. Got the 3 course started with leak and avocado soup of the day, burger and chips main and sticky toffee pudding all was excellent would definitely recommended this place and the food. Excellent customer service

Had the early 3 course meal up to 7.15pm and can hand on heart say it was one of the best meals I've ever had customer service was good food was good drinks were good would definitely recommend here for a good meal after a long day's trailing

Staying in the lakes for the weekend asked our hotel for recommendations they gave us a few, so glad we choose Beresford's amazing service and amazing food and very reasonable prices, cannot fault them I challenge you to find this quality at these pricesWill definitely be backThankyou for a fab meal

Beresford's is a little out of town so wasn't our first choice but we landed there because it was convenient for our accommodation. Given one or two of the reviews it was a pleasant surprise. My guess is that they were short-staffed, as all restaurants and cafes seem to be, and so early service was efficient rather than overly-personal - perfectly fine with us and it visibly improved later as the room cleared and the server had a little more time. The fillet steak was excellent, exactly how I asked for it and priced in line with others in the area, whilst the lasagne was a little less impressive but still perfectly acceptable (hence 4 not 5 *). Didn't go to the sports bar downstairs, whilst you could hear it when you walked in the foyer it wasn't noticeable whilst eating. All round, we were quite happy - and full - after visiting the Beresford and so would recommend

Bank holiday Sunday weekend,a walk-in and without consulting Mr. Google for reviews, this was an unexpected stop as we were practically out of options . Lots of the places we passed by in along Windermere had long queues. We had to bite the bullet or starve but lucky us this was like the quiet end of town ,so took our chances and were surprised how tasty the food was. Better still they had a couple of vegan dishes and also had vegan ice cream which some establishments don’t cater for. By looks the place may look outdated but the food and the accommodating service staff were so attentive and worked hard as the place filled up. It was lovely watching them work as a team. It spoke volumes of their work ethics so definitely a 5 star from me.

Looking on Google for somewhere to eat and found this place didn’t book and was able to get a table Very welcoming and friendly place we were very pleased with our choice. We had the curry and chicken with an amazing sauce. We would not hesitate to recommend this place as somewhere to eat

We had a great experience there. The food was juicy and tasty. The atmosphere good and the decoration pleasant. The service was kind and fast.
