Betulla's in South Lakeland

Really tasty meal friendly staff and great atmosphere, just a nice relaxing meal.

They hire 15 year olds and make them work until at leat 9.30 at night and then pay them barely anything. Its child labour it's unfair to make kids work that long aswell as being illegal. I do not recommend.

We have just come on happy hour, there food and hospitality was amazing thanking Hayden and Hannah they were both so helpful and are a credit to they company will definitely be coming again

It's fair to say I've had quite a few pizzas, but the pizzas we had tonight were amazing. The base sauce and cheese were phenomenal. The kids loved theirs and the desserts were amazing too. I'd highly recommend!!

Enjoyed our meal here very much! Great portions, quick and friendly service and pasta cooked just right. Loved it!

Our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived, it was just neing cleaned, however there is a wooden box on the table that we presume is suposed to contain cutlery, but ours contained no cutlery and someones used napkin.The food was absolutely fantastic. Service was incredibly slow, it took 20 minutes to take a drinks order, then 25 minutes to recieve the drinks.We were advised when paying the bill at the end of the night that the restaurant was short staffed, the staff apologised prefusely for the wait times.Reason we've given 3 stars, is that nobody advised us of the wait times when we arrived, and we'd already become frustrated at the times for drinks and cutlery to arrive.Seems like a great place to go for food, we've obviously picked a bad night.

Very much enjoyed our meal with friends at Betulla's. The atmosphere was great, as was the service and food. Will definitely go back soon.Back for a birthday in April. Thank you to Molly, Aiden and Megan for looking after us so well.

Betulla's is a highly popular Italian restaurant in Ulverston and it is easy to see why - portions are generous and food is generally tasty. However, I left feeling a tad underwhelmed from my experience.We ordered a calamari starter, a carbonara, a bolognese, and a pollo picante.First, the good points: the sauces were really tasty and well-balanced. The carbonara was very nice, with hints of smoky bacon balanced out with just the right amount of cracked pepper. The bolognese was rich and flavourful, although I found it a tad too sweet. The portions were also very generous and I felt very full after my meal.Now for the negatives. One common thread running through all the pasta dishes was the complete lack of Al dente cooking; all the pasta was overcooked. Al dente pasta is something I consider to be crucial, and this was a very significant flaw in my opinion. Further, the calamari was also overcooked - crispy and delightful batter on the outside was let down by dry and tough squid inside.Service staff were prompt, polite, and efficient. They worked well despite the full house.Overall, Betulla's is OK for a simple Italian dinner, especially at the Happy Hour (5-6pm daily) prices. It's OK, but not more.

Really enjoyed our meal tonight, such a big portion of pasta! Finished the meal off with a tiramisu which was Devine. Great service and great food, we will be back. Thank you 🙏🏻

Stumbled upon this excellent restaurant when staying in nearby Newby Bridge. Classic Italian food cooked to a great standard in a lovely setting. Prawns were fantastic as was the carbonara and calzone. Finished off with a great cheesecake!Staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
