Brantwood Cafe in South Lakeland

Lovely place, lovely peoples, free car park, tasty foods, and beautiful surrounding. I love it!

Nothing other than cakes and scones at lunchtime! Had to repeatedly ask for the table to be cleaned, staff kept forgetting and kept has hanging for about 25 mins. Finally when the cakes did arrive, they were very dry and not particularly good at all. The only good thing was the spectacular view of the lake.

This is not your average museum cafe. Amazing mains and freshly baked cakes on one of the best terraces in the Lakes, with a good selection of drinks too. Worth making the trip for lunch even if you aren't going to museum (although you should see that too!)

Limited snack menu, and as we arrived only one outside table available as all the rest had 'reserved' signs on them but no one sitting at them. Order taken using a e-tablet, but two mistakes made! Lovely location, just need to get their act together a bit better.

Fabulous food, and amazing views!!

We were there on a very wet day which was a shame as the views were lovely. Limited menu with some interesting food which was very nice...well mine was (pheasant). Husband wasn't so sure about his chowder. We will go back hopefully on a nice day.

Nice food and staff. Unparalleled views of the Coniston fells from the outside seats.

Beautiful views from the terrace (my pictures don’t do it justice) of Coniston Water. The staff were accommodating and the food was more than satisfying! Right next to Brantwood House as well as the gardens.

Perfect location and perfect food. I was a bit worried about the lack of options on the menu, however , I shouldn’t have worried. The food was amazing. All of our party raved about it. Lovely trip on the gondola and spectacular views.

Vegan cauliflower curry was excellent, 10/10. Oat milk available for coffees and a vegan cake option which was choc orange and absofruitly delicious. Lovely staff and the non-vegan options were good too 😆
