It is open until late on Sunday when all the visitors have gone home.Nice music and a good atmosphere, lots of staff working with a smile. Good service.A big choice for drinks with and without alcohol. Nice food also. The place has a very nice decoration and the toilets are amazing.I recommend brown sugar.

Absolutely great place to eat and drink. Food was 10/10 and a great atmosphere. Alan was great with our little cockerpoo and brought her some water and some cut up sausages in a little bowl which she loved. Will 100% return again when next in the area!

Great recommendations by our server and brilliant dishes by the Chef. Lovely place to have a hearty lunch during your visit to Windermere lake.

Good place to stop for lunch or drinks. I had a lovely sour dough roll which was stuffed full with chicken, bacon and lettuce. There was also avocado but this was in fluid form and dripped right down my T-shirt.

Tasty food, lovely service and interesting vibes. I felt like i was in a pirate’s gully. Plenty of brown, wooden themes and punchy metal.

Situated in the heart of Windermere, Brown sugar is the place to visit for a very nice brunch. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the service is brilliant.Highlight of the whole brunch was the maple syrup waffle with strawberries and vanilla ice cream which went down a treat aswell as the Nutella and kinder muffin which is also a highly recommended. A lot of the items on the menu aren’t suitable for a halal diet but the staff were quick to help with recommending suitable for vegetarian options and facilitating to our needs!

The food here was fantastic. The service wasn’t great, which was a shame. The decor was pretty cool though I have some thoughts on how the owners could easily make this a 5/5 destination..Decide if this is for adults or families. If it’s for adults, have a drinks and cocktail menu on every table. What about 2 for 1 drinks specials and happy hour? Really push the alcohol side of things. Your food is fab so nothing needs to change on that front. If your demographic is more families or adults that may also have kids I would 100% remove the sign saying “don’t do coke in the bathroom”, maybe remove it anyway cos it’s not funny and makes it feel more like a nightclub. We had to have a conversation with our 8 and 10 year old on why you don’t want people drinking Coca-cola in the toilets..! Also put a toilet seat on the toilet and create a kid’s menu, it only has to be a mini version of your full menu, but it would help cater to kids portions.Either one of those changes would make this place a 5*. Best of luck.

Popped in for lunch one day and though busy we got a table. Great selection of drinks and we chose starters as we didn't need a full meal. Moules were delicious and great quantity - delicious bread ! Scotch egg was very tasty as were pigs in blankets. Returned following night for a full meal and again had great food- Caesar salad with lobster tails, amazing pizza, humongous fish and chips. Highly recommended!!

One of the best breakfasts in Windermere! Really enjoyed it. The menu has lots of choice and the cafe has a really nice atmosphere.
