Very helpful and friendly staff, good wine selection and our cheese board was spot on. We recommend, also dog friendly which is perfect.

The arrogant bar man refused to serve us because he accused our drivers licenses as being fake... I'm also 28 and they weren't 'fake'. Very rude man. Avoid. There are much nicer bars around such as the handsome brewery.The response to the review says all you need to know about this bar. No apology at all for the way we were spoken to and treated. The 'young lady' was 25 and it was not a fake ID but a perfectly valid driver's license. Imagine being accused of breaking the law when you're trying to enjoy a night out? Perhaps the staff at this establishment should practice a little bit of discretion and humility in the future and coach the rude bar man some basic customer service skills? Some training about IDs could also be helpful to him.

Nice little wine bar, friendly staff, good selection of drinks.

I love this place especially if the sun is shining and you can sit out on the roof terrace and enjoy beautifully presented food or drinks. Equally the inside is beautifully appointed cozy and very comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Stumbled across this hidden gem whilst visiting the Lake District, well worth a visit. Great setting with absolutely lovely people working there. The various wine and platter deals are excellent.

Fantastic venue, great atmosphere, with a lovely outside terrace. This was our first visit here, and we were not disappointed, will definitely be back. We couldn’t fault anything, food and drink exceptional value, we had the sharing cheese and meat platter with a bottle of wine. Most importantly though, the customer service was excellent. Now seems to be called 19 wine bar. Has 4 keg beers and 8 taps. Serves gin and wine too. Free WiFi.
