Cafe Ambio in South Lakeland

Nice café. Coffee was excellent but the bun of the ceaser sandwich a bit on the damp side.

What a gem! Lovely staff, lovely coffee, cakes and views. Plenty of free parking across the road and seating too =)

Great breakfast and staff. Only criticism would be that the black pudding is far too thinly sliced!

Lovely food, even had vegan lunch. Good range of buns and cakes. Nice motor themed decor which complimented the Lakeland motor museum

Delicious food. Serve hot and cold drinks. Limited choice of food but sufficient that everyone should be able to find something they like on the menu. Prices are what you would expect for a cafe beside a museum.

What a wonderful top quality cafe. Fast Food… No 😳. Traditional food with a modern twist, clearly each dish lovingly prepared by chefs. Locally sourced produce. Friendly and helpful staff. It’s fantastic that it’s on the same site as the Lakeland Motor Museum.

What a great Cafe.We only had coffees and cake but they were most helpful with our specific requests on the coffees. The cakes were great, I wish I could have sampled more.There were toilets inside the cafe at the bottom left of the seating area.Lovely views of the river, it's just a shame we couldn't sit outside due to the weather.

I love this cafe, its half way round one of my favourite walks and next to a beautiful river that gets very dramatic in heavy rain. And of hours thd Motor Museum is an added bonus. There's also an escape room just down the road. The cafe serves delicious snacks and cakes. My only negative (though ifmt doesn't take away stars) is that there's often no gluten free cakes left by mid afternoon.

Great coffee and cake. Worth a visit if you are at the motor museum or just passing the area. Staff friendly and efficient too. Plenty of seating. There was free parking over the road
