Cedar Manor in South Lakeland

Excellent. From the moment we arrived Jonathan and Caroline made us feel really welcome. The bedrooms were immaculate with little extras that made all the difference. Breakfast was excellent, with great choice. We also had afternoon tea (which was by far the best afternoon tea ever) sat outside in the wonderful garden in the glorious Cumbrian sunshine. A fantastic couple of nights away which was the perfect end to my birthday week. Thank you both.

A HUGE shout out for Cedar Manor's (festive season) afternoon tea! With a wonderful attention to detail, the food was very tasty (the little pigs in blankets and mash potato went down a storm!), really beautifully presented and all home made. Plus a fab range of tea blends to choose from. As a really nice touch the hotel was more than happy to make us just plain scones for our group of 8. A well deserved 5 out of 5 for their food, their care, helpfulness and friendliness.

A fabulous place to stay. The room was warm and clean with all the added little extras, chocolates, a decanter coffee pot, spa bath, robes, magazines app, great quality shower lotions and potions. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were all lovely and it was clear attention to detail is a priority.Location was perfect for us 7minute walk from the train station. Bus stop literally outside to neighbouring villages Ambleside and Bowness.

We spent a wonderful weekend at Cedar Manor, it's a beautiful boutique hotel set in mature well kept grounds. The owners and staff are friendly, informative, the rooms are lovely and clean. There is plenty of choice for breakfast including gluten and dairy free options.It's in a fantastic location, very close to Orrice Mount which has spectacular views across Windermere and a 30 minute walk to the Lake.Cannot fault it, thank you for a lovely stay and will definitely come again.

First class. The rooms are stunning. Clean and bright. Caroline and Jonathan are so hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble. Would recommend to anyone wishing to have a peaceful stay away from home.

a perfect place to stay for a relaxing break. the owners were really friendly, despite the bad Dad jokes 😆. room was really comfortable and clean. loved that we ordered breakfast the night before so it was organised in morning when we went to the breakfast room. the gardens were beautiful and I loved the addition of the bee hives. the hotel felt secluded despite being only a few mins walk from centre of windermere. a definite gem.

Superb hotel! We have just stayed there for a week and it was really wonderful! The hosts Caroline & Jonathan are excellent. They are really friendly and helpful and always seem refreshingly upbeat. They made our stay that much more comfortable. They have made tremendous efforts to keep both their guests and staff safe through the ease of covid restrictions. They do really great to explain the the procedures on arrival. There's obviously a much more relaxed approach but for those in the tourism sector they still have lots of rules to adhere to and at Cedar Manor you can feel reassured every step of the way.The beds are sooooo comfy too. All the little extra luxuries just make it that little bit better. Everything you'd expect from a high class hotel.The food is outstanding! The choices and variety is excellent for breakfast and the afternoon tea that we also just had to sample was exemplary.A truly brilliant holiday and made extra special by the choice staying at Cedar Manor.

We spent a lovely weekend, nice room, great location, a real quality stay, the hosts are so attentive and top off a real five star experience. The room is a perfect gem. Lake District at it’s very best, highly recommended
