Charlie's Cafe Bar in South Lakeland

Very tasty food with plenty of choice. You order at the counter once you have made your choice from the menu or specials board. You are then given a number for the waitress to recognise your location when your food is delivered.

Absolutely 10star food is brilliant whether it be breakfast or dinner,or tea+scone,cleanest place in kendal,also staff always very nice +can not do enough for you always a pleasure to go 10star joe+dot crabtree newbybridge Cumbria.

We were struggling to find somewhere to eat with our dog, we were recommended to Charlie’s from the dog shop on the square. We have been in the lakes for a few days and this was the best meal by far, home cooked beautiful food! Staff we’re amazingly friendly and catered for our pug with water and biscuits and lots of fuss! Highly recommend this place and we will be coming again when we are back in the area. Thank you for a fantastic lunch 👌🏻

Great wee restaurant with fine food at good prices. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

When I review places like this I ask myself five questions: Was the food good? Simple answer yes, utterly delicious. Am I full? I may need to be carried or rolled out as I'm in something of a food coma so that's a definite yes. How was the service? Very, very good. Atmosphere? Very nice. Good value for money? Not really. I would definitely go back, it just wouldn't be a regular thing.

Had a delicious meal. Very tasty and well presented. The coffee was not strong enough for me, tasted watery. However, I am very picky about my caffeine fix. The homemade cakes and desserts looked very tempting but I was too full from my excellent main course.

Love coming here when in Kendal, Soup and Gateaux every time. All home made in wonderful historic surroundings with some very interesting historic facts. But those you will need to discover yourself.
