What a hidden gem. The food is beyond amazing and fresh!! There is no frozen, deep fat fried rubbish here. The kids portions are huge and if you love a pie then you'll love this pub. Super friendly staff and great value for money

I got married on 24th of June and I had my reception at the commodore inn. This was absolutely amazing the staff were OUTSTANDING. I would highly recommend having your wedding here the staff all could not do enough they helped me so much with everything possible. Do not waste time looking about use the Commodore Inn I cannot believe what we got included to make our guests feel cherished. All the managers were as amazing as each other, all the staff were brilliant at their jobs I cannot praise them all anymore absolutely spot on with everything. I had the best wedding because of the Commodore Inn staff the venue is stunning absolutely stunning. I can’t thank all the staff enough and I can not state that if getting married this is the place to have the wedding. The function room is just beautiful.Thank you to all the staff a huge thank you for all mangers and all the help and for being the best team ever and allowing our wedding to be such a lovely one thank you so much ❤️❤️ Xxxx

My wife and I went in for a drink after a long walk, when we entered there was a sign saying "please wait to be seated" respecting the sign that is what we did. The bar staff then ignored us for about 7 to 10 minutes while serving other customers. When the bar cleared they then asked us what we wanted to wich I replied I would like to be seated, he said we have to check the kitchen, I informed here we were he for drinks to which she replied "well that is only for food" in a derogatory manner. AVOID IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE INSULTED. DISCUSSING

We are on holiday here so booked for our Sunday tea. When we arrived we were told to just sit anywhere and there will be no table service as short staffed. We ordered our food (burger, pork roast and a pizza) but 45 minutes we still hadn't received it so I spoke to a waitress who was so lovely and apologetic, but told us the chef was "angry" at the moment! 10 minutes later our food arrived. Burger ok. Pizza ok. The pork roast came with instant mash squashed under a soggy Yorkie and the pork was so tough and over cooked. Yet the brocolli was rock hard and hardly cooked. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! Disappointing holiday meal

A good pub and restaurant. One of the few places that was able to accommodate our large party of 18 for an evening meal. Staff were friendly and the food was excellent. The downstairs seemed rather noisy on arrival, but the upstairs restaurant was pleasant and quiet.

Went to The Commodore Inn for our evening meal and drinks on our first nights stay in Grange Over Sands . Both my wife and I ordered the " Whale and chips " . Nice meal that we both enjoyed and a good selection of beers on offer too . A nice experience

What can I say our second stay at at the Commodore Hotel Grange. Again was not disappointed this time we stayed in the porthole room. An amazing view, comfortable bed and room. We got the winter saver where you get your breakfast, a 3 course evening meal (amazing food) and a few drink of wine. Really lovely staff and the food is amazing. Thank you so much I truly don't think you can improve anything about our experience thank you x

Dinner reservation upstairs. Service and drinks were really good. The only only downfall was the food. Took 1hr 20min to be served this included starters before everything else starting coming out after that. Staff did apologise and were really nice. But unfortunately the food was quite bland and not worth how much we paid for. Jerry sailor burger was big but dry, had a weird sauce that didn’t work well. Tomato soup was cold. They also ran out of big prawns which they nicely replaced with small ones and that was probably the most decent meal of them all.

Bar staff and manager were easy going.Room could have been a bit cleaner. Mainly in the bathroom. But apart from that more than happy.Location was good especially for the views and a prom walk

After staying at a local hotel with poor quality food we went in search of something decent to eat… honestly this place outshone our expectations! The food was lovely and they are really conscientious with food allergies! Great service (even though it was busy!), great staff and decent prices.Best gluten free fish and chips i’ve ever had.
