Costa Coffee Ulverston in South Lakeland

Always a warm and friendly welcome at Costa Coffee Ulverston. Great staff, great service and the shop always looks clean and smart.

The service was a little slow and they seemed very under staffed however it was good coffee.

Good coffee and friendly staff, clean venue well set out for Covid regulations too.

Infuriates me when Covid is used as the reason for poor service and ridiculous organisationJust now i had to wait 10 minutes to order, it arrived wrong and missing items. Now been in the place nearly fifteen minutes ... no queue!! Not busy! Three people ... one serving inaccurate orders, one wandering around trying to look busy and another scoring their wipe down with a clipboard.Shocking .... but it’s Ulverston so I guess the Area Manager doesn’t visit on a Sunday ... or is the one with the clipboard the AM, if so you’ve got a serious problem

We visited Costa in Ulverston in Cumbria. Greeted at the door and given a table. Staff constantly cleaning and directing people around the cafe. Coffee good as always.

Staff more interested in talking to locals. 2 rather sullen girls serving 1 whose hair kept getting stuck on cups and glasses. Bad attitude and no thank you. Not what I expected or paid for

Nice atmosphere with enjoyable offer. However there is a member of staff dashing round collecting trays and clearing with no respect for health and safety. Rushing in to people and not following ssw. As I visit with my baby this is unnerving. A tray was even lifted over the pram when a table was cleared near by. Although not hot drinks this was highly dangerous as a result i was less than impressed. An accident waiting to happen. I appreciate how busy the cafe can be but this is no excuse for stupidity.

Why would you come here when there are so many cosy, friendly independent coffee shops in town serving better coffee for a better price.Coffee is dark and bitter and in your face due to the low quality beans costa used. Atmosphere is the same as anywhere else.

Brews good. Service poor.Thought I'd drop in about 5:15pm after shopping in the town. The staff ignored and chatted amongst themselves until I asked if they were still serving. My request got a raised eyebrow from the young women who then continued to chat amongst themselves. I was sitting in and realised after a minute they weren't going to tell me my order was ready an i had to ask for my favourite cinnamon dusting. I appreciate i dropped in within the hour before closing but crikey. Is it so hard to offer a welcoming hello and let me know my order was ready?
