Craig Manor in South Lakeland

Good spot just on the outskirts of the centre of Bowness but only 5 minutes walk away. Place is nice and clean and rooms are spacious. Seemingly like all places in Windermere currently, they were struggling for staff so no food and bar is only open if it has customers.

Did an overnight here when visiting Bowness. The room (302) was clean and spacious, with a good en-suite, comfy bed, and a lake view. Good freshly cooked to order hot breakfast, good service, friendly staff, and plenty of parking at the rear. A short walk into Bowness 5-10 mins to all the shops, bars, restaurants, Lake Windermere etc. Nothing not to like.

Excellent breakfast, very friendly professional staff. Furnishings in the bar area are well past their best. Our room was on the top floor (roof space), limiting space in the bedroom, and making the bathroom very uncomfortable . The real issue was that we stayed for three nights, and the room was not serviced once!

Great 2 night stay booked direct with the hotel, getting their winter retreat deal.Large and comfortable room.Seasonal treats on arrival were absolutely delicious.Would definitely recommend and return

Been coming here for years and we love it. This visit we had a huge room with a large comfy bed and bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Excellent value for money when you compare to some of the others in Bowness-On-Windermere

What a lovely hotel all the staff very polite and helpful very clean throughout the breakfast was ace cooked to order and piping hot first time we have stayed here will definitely be going back soon hopefully

Booked another break some time ago for March despite no evening meals being available at my last visit as I was assured that evening meals would be available in March. I have now been informed that evening meals are again not available. Will be my last visit. Don't visit if you like eating on an evening.

An excellent stay at Craig Manor Hotel. My Husband and I stayed for 1 night with our dog and the hotel staff and Manager were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and again the breakfast staff were very friendly and cheerful, which is always a lovely way to start the day.This is a clean, well maintained hotel with great on site parking and a great location. Very dog friendly and great professional staff. All round an excellent hotel stay for a reasonable price.

Just come back from a lovely stay here. Great location. Rooms very comfortable and great size Family room. Breakfast was very good. Jason, Valerie and all the team very friendly and so helpful. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.🙂

Good location, Jason very helpful and friendly, all staff professional and Polite, especially the girl from Liverpool, Room updates very nicely done. Have enjoyed our stay and will return next year, been using you now since 2006. Breakfast lovely as well. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.
