Doi Intanon Thai Restaurant in South Lakeland

The best Thai food I’ve ever had in the UK! They have had the same chef since the beginning and it’s consistently amazing and delicious. I keep going back there every time I’m here and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Lake District. My favourites are prawn fried rice and Nuea Namtok and also pad pong karee (curry sauce stirfry).

We arrived accidentally as we’d intended to go elsewhere. Fabulously friendly and welcoming and the food was sensational. Brilliant. The wine was also superb. Well done!!

We popped in on the off chance and were welcomed by a very friendly man.Food was delicious, very fresh and many options for my wife who has a fish allergy.Very impressed with everything and cannot wait to return to Ambleside and try it again.Thank you for a wonderful evening

Easily the best Thai I've had - we had the beef with oyster sauce and a chicken, chilli and ginger dish with sticky and jasmine rice, followed by fried ice cream and Frangelico liqueur for afters - delicious! The service was very good.

Don't get takeaway!Beef in Oyster sauce.....swimming beef in something.Fried noodles....in waterMy wife's was no different.Tasteless slop at a premium.We love Thai food, I'm guessing because it's a tourist spot, lots of transient footfall, they don't really care?Maybe a different experience eating in but avoid takeout from here.Shocking

Food was nice, but didn't get much of it. Not much meat in the meals. Waiter tried charging us for extra drinks and added a service charge onto the bill without asking. Everyone else got prawn crackers on arrival but left us out. I left hungry. Won't be going back.

We had a great Thai meal at the restaurant, it was an enjoyable 2 nights of Thai cuisine taste as my mum cooked at home in Thailand. Staffs were very friendly and helpful can't do enough for you. Strongly recommended.

Even though we were drop ins, we got a nice spot on the balcony. The food was served speedily, the portions were not so generous but the quality was good. The rice was cooked well, the vegies felt fresh, so did the prawns. The beef was soft and juicy, the atmosphere is a bit touristy but it's a touristic landmark after all.

Delicious food, esp the unique Bangkok bangers sausage starter. Very generous portions. Kind staff, very obedient to the Covid 19 restrictions. Only complaint would be the phone ringing constantly in the background. Local beer complimentary to the meal.

We had probably the best meal of our stay in the Lake District here. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were really friendly and the restaurant has added screens between tables to help reduce potential for infection, but they are unobtrusive and don't impact on the decor. Definitely recommended.
