Lovely breakfast! Unfortunately though, we sat outside and some of the tables were a little close together, so it felt a little cramped and uncomfortable.

Amazing aesthetic restaurant/cafe. The mushroom is absolutely delicious and the tea is all freshly brewed. The service is awesome!

·

Amazing cafe. Cannot find fault. Has the perfect balance of great food, drinks and atmosphere!Had the Smoked Makrel ciabatta which was a bit too sensible a portion size for how good it was! I could have eaten another easily!

A fantastic little hidden gem. Great coffee, food, staff, and atmosphere. Highly recommended!

·

Visited twice in three days. Sweet potato soup with accompanying sourdough bread so smooth and perfect we asked to buy a loaf. Excellent coffee and mackerel sandwich. Potato/Leek soup was fine, could have been slightly tastier. Also had a moist and rich carrot cake.

Very cute little cafe tucked into a hidden courtyard at the heart of Kendal. Best coffee I had in lake district. The food was fantastic with flavours that were bold but at the same time felt like comfort food. The soup I order left me feeling warm and ready for the long journey home.

Lovely cafe, friendly laid back staff and delicious food! Good coffee too! We had duck egg on sourdough with veggies and chocolate sourdough toast with morello cherry jam. Then a pot of tea and filter coffee. Chic and rustic decor. Outdoor and indoor seating.

Beautiful little find. All bread is homemade and sooooo fresh. Reasonable prices and super friendly staff. Must go place when in Kendal - you will not regret it !

Delightful place in an alleyway, not easy to spot but when you find it you won't be disappointed. Very quaint and old deco.Menu is simple and short but for everyone taste, more on the bite sideIt has 2 floors too.Toilet is outside and a bit dark but ok too.I loved my food and all the others seemed to be happy too.I'll recommend it.

Really friendly place and owner. Fabulous breads and cakes. Worth finding if on a visit to Kendal. The chocolate sourdough is a really unusual speciality. Lovely little back courtyard to have you 'kaffee und Kuchen' in the sun.
