Lovely food beautiful cakes

Nice fishery and not too deep so a floating line is all that’s needed, the wind at this fishery plays a big part as the fish here tend to follow it and shoal up, makes for a better day when there is not much wind or it’s blowing in various directions as then everyone has a chance, otherwise one rod can bag up while the rest struggle or blank.

Very good camping site with fly fishing, with a nice village Kirkby lonsdale just down the road for shopping,..

Went for a friend's birthday tea. Food and drinks served in the open air as it was a sunny day. Nice cakes and ice cream, good cup of tea. Could have done with a couple of lidded bins to put the paper cups and wrappings in. Nice location

An oasis of calm, good food, lovely people & views in an increasingly mad world ! Nursery with good selection of healthy plants. Outdoor seating areas. Dog friendly. Walks (please be considerate to the anglers & wildlife). Family run business.The marquee in the photo was the serving area during the COVID19 pandemic ~ well done to the owners for weathering the storm!Open 🐣 Easter to October.

Very pleasant and clean slight traffic noise from the m 6 tea room closed at the moment but again looks good from the outside great view of the fishing lake from the pitch

Great days fishing. Loads of fish moving and caught 3 fish over 5lb. Managed 15 in total after 3 hours of fishing. Great lake!

Often nip in here for a cuppa or lunch. Lovely homemade food and cakes. Family run business. Caravan park and fishery here and a few hens that provide the fresh eggs on sale. Off the main road and down a long lane, so local knowledge is key, but worth looking for. Beautiful views while you enjoys the food and the friendly service.
